I wish you were right, but something tells me that FSG backing him in the summer is to give him one last go at getting it right. The only thing seeing him go before the end of the season will be a massive drop towards relegation positions.
I hope i'm wrong but here are other scenarios.

1. FSG have already had discussions on a replacement candidate. IF this person is currently out of work, then I think FSG will respect their decision and ensure that this person is SO HUNGRY to make a return to top flight football, that they will be build an additional steakhouse in the new stand for them.

2. John Henry really does lose patience with this FSG ***** and drop the hammer come xmas to ensure everyone knows who the boss really is.

3. Other candidates are on a shortlist to replace and continue a pi$$ poor strategy that's in place but does not work, regardless of who the manager is.

My head says no.1 my heart says no.2 and for the life of me I pray it's not no.3

He has been backed full on in all areas by the owners during the summer so highly doubtful they will pull the plug on him now unless we completely capitulate which I doubt will happen. He has a load of new players and coaching staff so they will at least give him a year imo.
They are a bunch of numpties who haven't a clue about football  :no If they did they surely would be scratching their heads at the level we are at 3 years in and a fortune spent.
Sacking managers costs money :nod  and for what it would cost them they would have to be 100% sure its the last option. They more than likely gave him a lucrative contract after the 2nd season and I doubt there is any clauses in it to remove him without them having to pony up.

There are other ways to pass the time rather than just slagging off the manager.

I heard something on the radio this morning about Gerrard missing the prem and saying he would have stayed if he had been offered a coaching role at the club. Apparently a coaching role was discussed but only after Gerrard had already signed for the LA Galaxy.

Senseless. Stevie needed a break from Anfield and more importantly life had to go on at Anfield without Stevie. He's homesick that's all.

I had read that myself. His new book is being promoted by the Daily Mail and as far as I know they are from that.
Here is some of the stuff he had to say.

I’d had high hopes for my final contract from Liverpool but I just wanted to get it settled so I could get back to thinking only about football.
Brendan Rodgers wanted me to stay, but the club’s offer suggested ‘it feels like it’s time. Enjoy your last six months with us and then start afresh somewhere else’.
The meeting to discuss a new deal lasted 15 minutes — a very short time to decide the conclusion to my Liverpool career after 27 years.
It was pretty much a case of ‘this is the offer’. It seemed as if I wanted them more than they wanted me.

The offer was a one-year extension with a 40 per cent pay decrease. The bonuses were very good but they contradicted everything that Brendan had told me. My game time was going to become less and less but they were offering performance-related incentives?
I had no quibbles with the money offered. A substantial decrease was only to be expected. At 34 I was not the player who had lifted the Champions League trophy 10 years earlier. I also understood that I would have to play less — but I still valued myself as a top player and an important part of the team.
I was still captain and I was disappointed to be offered a performance-incentive contract. I thought they would have known that, apart from pride in my own performances and an enduring love for Liverpool, I didn’t need any incentive to try my heart out

In a perfect scenario, Liverpool could have offered me a one-year deal which included the chance to make a transition to the first-team staff. A year with Brendan and his staff would have been an invaluable experience — which players like Ryan Giggs, Phil Neville and Garry Monk had enjoyed at other clubs.
Soon after the reduced contract offer had been made, the club asked me to appear in an advert for Nivea. It was clear I was still important to Liverpool off the field.
I turned it down. Jordan Henderson stepped in and when I saw the ad on television I was relieved. Doing those kind of ads just isn’t me. I’ve had tons of offers to advertise products bare-chested and I’ve always said no. Maybe that’s why, unlike most leading players, I’ve never asked for an image rights deal with Liverpool.

Seriously ............ someone just shut him up. No Sane LIVERPOOL manager will claim losing to manure as their best loss........... I am beginning to believe the conspiracy theory that Rodgers was sent by jose mourinho to destroy our club.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers rates last season's 3-0 loss at Old Trafford as the best defeat of his career.

The Reds created far more chances against Manchester United in December, but the now-departed Raheem Sterling, in particular, found goalkeeper David De Gea in top form.

However, the reverse proved to be a catalyst as the Reds went on a 13-match unbeaten run in the league which was only ended by United at Anfield in March.

It replicated a pattern which is developing with Rodgers' teams, which has seen them play their best football at the turn of the year.

"It was probably the best defeat I've ever had,'' said the Reds boss. "You never want to lose the game but I saw enough in that day to know we had actually got our identity back.,

"We should have scored goals but ultimately lost the game because we didn't defend well enough. From that moment we then kicked on and had a good spell."

I believed this from day one. When the silly man walked through our doors hailing and masquerading as an Emperor in new Clothes.
