I was proud of our Irish support when we played Celtic in Dublin a couple of years ago. Not many teams could play Celtic in Dublin and have 3 quarters of the ground.

If you remember, it was after the red card against Manure Red that Shelvey's stock went out of favour. I'm pretty sure SAF put us under pressure the same way he did with Suarez over Shelvey's conduct. How dare he hurl abuse at a Knight? That's all I can put it down too, politics off field because on field I agree Shelvey is better than any CM we currently have and has the ability / potential to grow further. YES, this is just another conclusive reason why BR is out of his depth.

I'm not buying the hype either.. technically hes very good, and he can also find some good passes that create things. Those wasn't his downfalls at Liverpool, it was clearly his concentration. He switched off in too many games that cost us alot of points. He still today switches off and I wouldn't want that in my team.

Shelvey is only 23 now and he's been at Swansea for 2 years, he signed for them on the 3rd of July 2013. We write players off way too early at this club.

Never good enough to play alongside Henderson, Milner, Allen or do you mean not good enough to play alongside Rakitic, Muller, Fabregas?

I think there is a belief that players who 'get stuck in', 'get the boot i'n or just generally try hard for the team are in some way costing the team points.
Perhaps the reason why players like Allen or even Henderson (who I like) don't receive the same level of criticism is because they go AWOL when the heat is on, thus not making mistakes of any note. Lucas is often criticised for 'costing us points' too. Remember, it's a team game!
NB: Stevie G made some horrendous errors while leading his REDMEN and too get criticised. But it wasn't for a lack of his trying or commitment now was it?

Exactly, no one is saying he is the second coming of Michel Platini, but he is better than what we have currently got.

This is about more than a handful of results, this is about his modus operandi, this is about how he ditches his coaching staff and footballing philosophy at the drop of a hat, this is about how he says one thing but does another, this is about how he plays political games to the detriment of the club, this is about how he picks players not based on merit but wether they are a member of his 'prem proven' cabal.
This is his fourth season in charge and our number 1 CM pairing is Henderson and a 30 year old James Milner, this is his fourth season in charge and our number 1 CB pairing is Skrtel and Lovren, this from a manager who talked about creating a Barcelona on the banks of the Mersey.
We could beat United 10-0 for all I care this fella hasn't got what it takes.

Youve gone from a supporter to a critic in quite a short while. It wasnt so long ago you were defending him against comments from RBG amongst others.
Has his stock really fallen so low after a couple of games?
:oh:
