I wish you were right, but something tells me that FSG backing him in the summer is to give him one last go at getting it right. The only thing seeing him go before the end of the season will be a massive drop towards relegation positions.
I hope i'm wrong but here are other scenarios.
1. FSG have already had discussions on a replacement candidate. IF this person is currently out of work, then I think FSG will respect their decision and ensure that this person is SO HUNGRY to make a return to top flight football, that they will be build an additional steakhouse in the new stand for them.
2. John Henry really does lose patience with this FSG ***** and drop the hammer come xmas to ensure everyone knows who the boss really is.
3. Other candidates are on a shortlist to replace and continue a pi$$ poor strategy that's in place but does not work, regardless of who the manager is.
My head says no.1 my heart says no.2 and for the life of me I pray it's not no.3

If they did they surely would be scratching their heads at the level we are at 3 years in and a fortune spent.
and for what it would cost them they would have to be 100% sure its the last option. They more than likely gave him a lucrative contract after the 2nd season and I doubt there is any clauses in it to remove him without them having to pony up.
