LMAO and once again you cant tell me im wrong, do yourself a favour instead of name calling try and make a point?

Scab? what because BROD is starting to sound insane? We are looking at 2nd 2 days ago, to we are screwed until summer?

Id suggest you take of the Bren is Shankly glasses and take a real look.

As for sacking him, whats the point? unless we have a WORLD class manager waiting to come in it would solve nothing.

Its part of his job that he has to talk to the press.  I havent got a problem with what he is saying and dont thin he sounds like a "loon"!

By all means talk to the press, just dont keep saying whats going to happen then doing a total 180 a few days later.

Exactly why shouldn't Rodgers express his thoughts concerning his goals for the season ? It makes a welcome change having a manager who is confident
enough to express openly his belief that Liverpool should be aspiring to reach loftier goals than what we as fans have in mind . I think some fans have
allowed themselves to be browbeaten by the media and the other clowns into believing that we are no were near remotely good enough to expect such a
high finish .

It wasn't Rodgers who let us down so abysmally on Saturday ,I mean lets face cold hard facts here ,Liverpool can play some superb football and and at times
look for all the world like we're ready to mount a concerted effort to push on for fourth place ,and then you place expectation on that same teams shoulders
and we routinely crumble .

I think if you listened intently enough against Villa ,you would have heard the sound of Rodgers grinding his teeth in anger at this performance ,maybe that
was the reason for the scarf ,maybe it was to partly cover his embarrassment at how easily we succumbed to a team who simply wanted the victory more .

I personally think Rodgers suddenly publicly broadcasting his intentions was to test the character of the players he has at his disposal ,and to find who has
the shoulders wide enough to carry the expectations of this great club . Brendan Rodgers is an astute man ,there is simply no way given how pragmatic he
has been with his restructuring that he would suddenly heap such a burden of responsibility on the shoulders of his team, if he knew they would fail so dismally
in accepting it .

I think the man genuinely has a plan ,and after last Saturday it will now be etched in stone ,that quite simply the players he selected against Villa have little
heart and even less fight  much less the passion this football club demands .

Is that aimed at me?

If so all im doing is quoting him, im not guessing at anything.

If this all turns out to be some kind of mental masterplan i will hold my hands up. Right now going by his past interviews it seems he does not know whats going on.

I fall to see what good the whole "2nd place" interview did when he came out today and said "dont expect anything to change until the summer"

If im missing something then tell me.

The scab.

Can somebody please show me were Rodgers said that we would finish second or that we were aiming for second??
I think he more just pointed out the points difference and said we need to be consistent

"I've heard lots of people talk about Liverpool. Everyone's got their opinion, and I understand that because of the standards the club set in the 1970's and 80's

"I'm well in tune with that but for a club that's supposedly been very poor, we only lie four points off that top four position. And for me, the ambition is to grow higher.

"We're 11 points off second and that can all turn round very quickly. We need to get consistency. That's what we've got at the moment.

"We're 11 points off second

and that can all turn round very quickly ( Hes thinking its possible to do) Which i suppose if you look at the math we can still win the league so i will give you that one.

We need to get consistency. That's what we've got at the moment. ( We need x to get there and we have x) Thats the line right there.

Yeah   ??? ,  so did Icarus.

Not calling for the managers head but talk is cheap, I'd be far happier if his platitudes were replaced with actual results. His interaction with the press since he became our manager has only (imo) highlighted a lack of maturity when dealing with this aspect of management.

I'm sensing a bit of a swerve from some supporters towards putting responsibility for failure to win more firmly on the players performances rather than the managers decisions. As somebody pointed out, on paper we have a more talented squad than many of the teams who have been outperforming us, surely therefore it's not unreasonable to question whether the manager, given what's available to him, is with his "philosophy" and tactics  underachieving  ???

Maybe because of the managerial changes we've experienced in recent years many of us are just praying that this fella is at last the "right" one and just don't want to entertain the thought that maybe he isn't.

I hope he succeeds but as time ticks by I'm not as optimistic as I was upon his arrival.

Im not sure what happened, When he was appointed i wasnt overly keen on giving an someone at his level of inexperance the job. Results thus far are as bad if not worse than the Owl of dooms.

What did Bren say or do to demand such un questioning support? To the point that other fans are being told to f*ck off when you question him?

:D
I have to disagree mate ,I said on his first tentative steps as Liverpool manager ,that if he wished to entertain the notion of playing progressive inventive
football he would have to accept some harsh decisions needed to be made ,most notably the issue of Gerrard being no longer capable of pressing the
opposition into giving the ball away ,or adapting to this concept of passing the ball in relative comfort rather than smashing a Hollywood pass that is either
too hard or too high.

It seems whilst not wishing to lay the blame squarely at the feet of the manager ,that some fans will undoubtedly blame the players ,but given this shambles came on the back of a  classy performance away at  Udinense and a battling display against West Ham then its surely the lack of passion coupled
with our totally unimaginative attempts at making genuine opportunities around the opponents penalty area, that should be the focal point of any debate .

Villa have ,for as long as I can remember been a bogey team capable of putting in a performance that belies their position in the table ,nothing new there, but
on Saturday albeit from including Downing  (who incidentally provided our  most potent threat in attack )then it was the same defence that had retained our
unbeaten record . On Saturday the players were simply clueless ,Sterling was completely out of sorts and Joe Allen had his worst game in red .

I'm still optimistic mate,I have nowhere else to go ,but I promise you as soon as we stop playing football then I may start eating from the same table as you .
