I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

This ex-player was who, may we ask?

Someone like Rush of Liverpool FC or actually someone like that fat old git who used to play centre back for the Pig and Shrew Pub team?

I don't believe these rumours but even if he does have a longer term problem then hopefully our improved squad depth now will leave us better to cope. In the past, lack of squad depth meant we were always rushing Torres and Gerrard back when they weren't fully fit and invariably making the situation worse because they were playing with pain killing injections.

I wouldn't scoff at the "rumour" of SG's predicament...it was something feared way back in April when he broke down in some considerable distress.....just be prepared for bad news, which will make any news good :;):

Ive heard the same rumours, and I believe them. There are many reasons why we are buying so many midfielders...

Time catches up with everyone eventually
I remember when he was younger he couldnt play two games on the trot. I think he could play the role of Hamman, sitting in front of the back four and breaking up attacks. He will still be a major force for us, just not as quick.

First order of business for Stevie (after getting fit of course), retire from international duty.  If these rumors are true (I'll take Igor's word for it) then there is no reason for him risking himself for England anymore.

No use crying over spilt milk really and its almost goes without saying now that Gerrard will not be a key piece in our side this season and certainly not long term. Think part of the reason they stuck him high up the pitch with Torres was so he didnt have to be in engine room so much, lower impact, so hes been teetering on the edge for a bit now really. If they can get a few bits out of him here and there then all good but the swashbuckling Gerrard of old looks dead in the water unfortunately.
