I have a feeling NESV will try to bring in a top asian player, to build on our popularity in the region and utilize their experience of the asian market.

Keisuke Honda is the only name that stands out for me as being any good, (oh and the N.Korean wayne rooney, I liked that kid)

Wasn't too impressed at the world cup. Whilst it is important to max out revenue streams I think NESV should be concentrating on getting in players who can actually improve the team.

Can't see them giving Roy that much to spend Rocky. Maybe 25/30 max. The main rebuilding job will come in the summer. No one spends 50 mil in the Jan window.

I doubt we will spend more than max 10 mill. We just have to look forward to next season when the new manager comes.

Honda is very highly rated and would be a welcome addition at around £8M-£9M IMO.

If there are wider commercial benefits in signing him then why not ???

Honda was rated at a minimum of 12 million and heard as high at 20million after the world cup. Anyway, he played well in the world cup but haven't seen him long enough to know. But he is definitely not Roy's type of player. I think during the Jan transfer window, most likely scenerio Roy is only allowed to use the money from selling players like Babel or Poulsen or even Lucas. Don't think the owner will splash out any more cash. Read that in a baseball forum all the Red Sox fans are upset as the Red Sox will not spend big on free agents because of the purchase of Liverpool. So, will see.

Good player but he'll be in the Asian Cup for the start of the New Year. Could be away for a good while.

After watching us this season it's pretty obvious that we need to strengthen in a lot of areas.  But this January I think that number one priority is a strker, because if Torres gets injured we're absolutely :censored:.  The rest can wait till the summer.

Hmmm... Carlton Cole.

IF Roy is given a warchest in January of some sort does that mean he's here for the long haul? This honestly concerns me, I don't agree with the extent of stick Roy gets but he isn't the manager we need quite frankly. I said to myself, give the old fella until christmas etc... But I've seen enough now to say 'thanks Roy but no thanks'. Surely though if Roy is spending money in the transfer window he's here for the season at least and possibly next season too.

Nevermind his 35yrs in football or his LMA award, our style of football is turgid, our performances aren't good enough and the results are poor too, I'm off the fence now and I'd like Father Christmas to come early and bring in Kenny as a present, and leave others to spend the money in bringing in new players.

Sorry Roy, I've given you a fair crack (more than others have) and you haven't convinced me you're good enough for this club. :(
