Me too. Eric our new window cleaner is a Wolves fan and he thinks we'll be fine. He says Bill Hicks is a c... (I'm not sure he knows that much about it to be honest).

Sanjay in the paper shop seemed more concerned that India had beat the Aussies 2-0 in the test matches to be honest, which was somewhat disappointing.

There are a few blokes in yellow flourescant jackets digging up the road outside the pub with a noisy drill thing, I might ask them.

Naturally I'll keep everyone posted if I hear anything.

very funny mick but today is not a day for jokes.
i think the best bit of news is that members of NESV are going to the court in america and our high court have sent a copy of their findings to the american court, turns out that the american court did not know much about that court case and its findings, they only took hicks word on it.

It just seems to me that the texan district court is just terrible......fearing the wrong decision being made here

the first case they held was based on no information on the london case, the the info was given to them just before the last one last night and they looked at it and will base their say with that info now. RBS have also sent info on how fast theloan needs to be paid and how hicks has not agreed more time on it.

I just don't understand why the Texas court has ajourned until 1pm today? Surely they must understand how urgent this is?

Mill opened talks with RBS am yesterday, offering to pay off #lfc’s loan. On advice of its lawyers, RBS refused to take the money

That is awsome news. RBS don't want to be held for breach of contract with NESV by the sounds of it.

Remember Hicks Acquisition Company II, as mentioned on here a while ago?  Looks like he's trying to raise funds any which way...

http://www.emii.com/Articles/2691841/Ca ... n-IPO.aspx

This is what he was trying to do thats why he set the whole thing up, but Citi & Deutse bank made him change the documents that the money could not be used for Liverpool or other sporting institute.

This is a MAJOR blow to Hicks...! The banks basically came back to him last week and said that not only couldn't they place anything close to the 20M shares of his IPO, but that they were also receiving concerned questions from Institutional investors (even the 2nd & 3rd-rate ones) about whether or not Hicks was going to use the IPO proceeds for anything Liverpool-related, and that if he was that they wanted no part of the deal. Hicks not only capitulated on the size of the offering (20M down to 15M shares), but he also had to concede and put in writing that he would not use the proceeds for anything Liverpool-related.
Anyway... I just wanted to highlight this. I know that some of you are going to lose your heads when you see that he raised $150M, but rest assured that (barring him changing the prospectus) in NO WAY can he use it related to Liverpool FC or his related debts.
This battle is FAR from over, but at least there is one less bullet in his rusty Colt 45.

Cheers from NYC,
Johnny C
