i don't think they can do anything mate, in what way can they stop it

they already own half the club so they can't turn round now and say they can not own it all, they wouldn't have a leg to stand on

What can they do?  Mill Financial havent broken any business laws or done anything underhanded.  As someone else said transfer of shares doesnt need board approval.

Lets just hope the CoJ rule that the Texan court has no jurisdiction to disrupt the sale (i.e. the TRO is invalid).

Then leave Hicks to fight a civil battle with RBS et al, leaving LFC out of it.

just a quick question here, if Hicks has sold his shares to Mill then does that mean the TRO is invalid? Furthermore, wouldn't that mean the binding agreement made with NESV be overpowering?

This could all be prevented if the Premier League imposed the same laws as US sports. In the US no owner can purchase a club/franchise with more than 20% leveraged debt.

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

The board decided that NESV would make the best new owners.

T+T, Mills, Kenny, Lim are all trying to derail the bid.  Its disgusting!

I have a horrible feeling that this is gonna go against us today and ruin the club.  Lets pray something good happens in court!

No. The TRO is ONLY against the english board members and NESV - it states NOTHING against Hicks transfering shares in the parent company's

Well in the eyes of the us mill will own us but in the eyes of the uk courts hicks will still own us as they blocked him from doing just that.
