so if John Henry fails in his attempt to buy us, we either have
1) a Manure Utd fan or
2) one of H&G's posse's owning us or
3) we're stuck with the same owner for the near future.

there's been a number of bids, but Broughton has deemed New England Sports Ventures to be the way forward. I trust his judgment and am happy to take that option.

Its unbelievable. We are a great club with huge potential and the only ones interested in buying us apart from NESV haven't got a clue how to run a club and could quite well fit a desription of our worst enemy. Its absolute bollox. Its almost like all of our ememies are conspiring to own us and flush us down the bog.

Let's just put it this way... At least we will get rid of t&t and get a new owner. NESV is my prefered choice since they have a sports background. But Peter Lim is not too bad too, for one, he is worth more than NESV, and second if he owns a football club he will surely be in it to win. A chineses businessman doesn't wanna lose face and in a football mad country like Singapore, he will surely try to show that his club is a successful one.

Paul Girolami QC, who is representing H&G, said his clients "were not trying to throw a spanner in the works" of the proposed sale deal. He argued there had been other offers for the club which potentially were better than the one from NESV. Opposing an immediate injunction, he said all the issues involved needed more time to determine and "should not be rushed into".

Girolami's conclusion: "What has happened is that the English directors have gone forward with the NESV bid without properly considering alternatives when those alternatives at least appear to give better prospects."

The Judge should base his decision on what is best for the club, and the board members have done that, so he has to side with them, f*ck off Hicks, you want Lim's offer because you can get away with some dosh!
