We as a club made a £40 million profit last year , only problem was it went to pay off debt . Now if the vast majority of that debt isn't there ,the profit can either be plowed back into the team or into the owners back pocket . Makes things look alot healthier in that respect.
yer only 37 mil left, thats about the norm for a big company.
yes we could clear that debt in a year.......aslong as we give up the idea of a new ground.
the only way the new ground will be built is with a loan.........dont sound good to me mate, what do you think?
The stadium will be built using loans or the redevelopment will be done with loans - but those loans will not go onto the club - they will be leveraged with future earnings - the same way the arsenal did it .
As for the courts - if you listened to Broughton it will be all done and dusted by the weekend - Hicks and Gillette relinquished their power when they brought in Broughton and they have to prove that Broughton and the other members of the board have acted in a way which isnt good for the club - they have even signed contracts to that effect - they cant stop it because they dont get any profit - they can try but no judge will rule in their favour . RBS, Barcap , the board , the prem will all favour the deal - they are trying to argue that they are undervalue it but they have to prove that the club is worth the 600 million they want and they cant - they cant prove the value of the club has doubled in 3 years . Its why they tried to sack Ayres and Purslow but he couldnt - this is last throw of the dice from a desperate man which will fail . He needs the profit to pay off other debt but its not going to happen . He is outnumbered and corner and has no way of stopping .
yes but even the act of going to the courts puts a hold on the sale from what i understand.
it will get get done in the end, i would not be shocked if Hicks also later trys to take the board to court of the sum of 100mil.
It will hold up the sale by a matter of days and he has no power anymore - he has been bitten by his own cleverness . Up sh.it creek without a paddle , he has no grounds to sue and no grounds to challenge it .
