Postby roberto green » Wed Oct 06, 2010 4:47 pm

Just got in from work and I have so much to catch up on, Bloody hell were do I start. I have talksport on too, I've just heard Broughton saying that when he was put in place by the yanks that they wrote into his contract that he (broughton) decides who is on the board and either Hicks or Gillette can't have the say.

If anyone else wants to give me any more info to save scrolling millions of pages do so please

Hick will also try to stop the club from making any profit during this time.
Hicks could ask the pream to block liverpool from playing any game or for games to be set under closed doors.

this is going to get very nasty now.

the club was sort of solf 3 hours ago yet Hicks is in place to get it all put in the bim.

the sale of the club still leaves us with a debt of 37mil, thats about the norm for a big company.

buy do the new owners have the funds to buy players and build a ground.....no.

Your just p!ssed cos you didnt have a scooby what was happening  :D

 this made me LOL

ok so lets look at what could happen during the next few weeks.

the sale looks like being put on hold. the act of court would also stop the club from making any profit from its self, this means the only way fans could see the games is if they were free. the club shop would also have to be shut during this time and the online site shop.

the court colud also act and stop the club from speading any money, this could mean player using their own money to get to games, it would also mean no staff to be paid during this time, the club could ask them to work for free, but let it be known they would get their money if the sale happens.

can't find the link lakes

yer only 37 mil left, thats about the norm for a big company.

yes we could clear that debt in a year.......aslong as we give up the idea of a new ground.

the only way the new ground will be built is with a loan.........dont sound good to me mate, what do you think?

The stadium will be built using loans or the redevelopment will be done with loans - but those loans will not go onto the club - they will be leveraged with future earnings - the same way the arsenal did it .

As for the courts - if you listened to Broughton it will be all done and dusted by the weekend - Hicks and Gillette relinquished their power when they brought in Broughton and they have to prove that Broughton and the other members of the board have acted in a way which isnt good for the club - they have even signed contracts to that effect - they cant stop it because they dont get any profit - they can try but no judge will rule in their favour . RBS, Barcap , the board , the prem will all favour the deal - they are trying to argue that they are undervalue it but they have to prove that the club is worth the 600 million they want and they cant - they cant prove the value of the club has doubled in 3 years . Its why they tried to sack Ayres and Purslow but he couldnt - this is last throw of the dice from a desperate man which will fail . He needs the profit to pay off other debt but its not going to happen . He is outnumbered and corner and has no way of stopping .

The old saying goes, get your house in order first and the rest follows.

Yes I agree ... then who ever lives in that house will be staving no food because no money ... maybe loan again ... then we going back to square 1 ...

Yes they have many fingers in many pies and have spread themselves too thinly - the only people you would really want are the royalty but the shiek is loving his horses too much .

They borrowed to pay for the redevelopment of their baseball stadium - nearly 300 million and its pretty much paid for itself in the end .

It will get nasty to the point that we can't even imagine. But i guess short term pain is long term gain.

Just got a question on our finances as I have no idea about it's state of the club. Say if without the need to pay for the debt, i suppose we are a sustainable business. Someone mentioned we made 40 million quids last year but what about a new stadium? If the debt is wiped out after the sale, we still need to finance for the stadium and thus we will be in debt again as The Henry guy will not fort out the money up front and thus we are back to square one in which the money for transfer will go into the stadium. Hope there is a viable solution in which would allow us to have sufficient fund to improve the squad.

Actually, I'm a baseball fans also (a Jays fan). One thing I noticed about the Red Sox that did well was their drafting records of players. They also have an excellent development program. I mean all this is nice but I suppose they don't know as much in Football since they call it soccer in the US as football is an entirely different sports to them. This mean they need to hire someone to run it and their current GM at the Red Sox had done an excellent job but who will they hire to run our club??? But if they can do a similar job with us like the current Red Sox, then i will be satisfied. I remember couple years back, they paid like US 50 million up front just to have the right to negotiate with a Japanese pitcher from the Japanese baseball league whom they called the Dice King. Well, they got their man and he did ok. Anyway, really don't know what to expect as we won't know until it happens. I gues we just have to wait and see. Just seems the new guys got a better credential but what do i know.

yes but even the act of going to the courts puts a hold on the sale from  what i understand.

it will get get done in the end, i would not be shocked if Hicks also later trys to take the board to court of the sum of 100mil.

Borrow ? That's very clear they have no money ...

You got to laugh, T&T have been mugged by the board, Ayres (Hicks former bum-chum against Parry) and their former golden boy Purslow have shafted them. For them to act in this way clearly shows what little respect they had for T&T. Broughton's done a good job.

Just very disappointed the fans have not had a chance - as yet - to buy in.
