Almost as made up as the news itself.
So tempted to break my self imposed booze ban and get on the red wine

To answer a few questions...
The Red Sox are a money-making machine. So we have no worries financially. I know only a bit about Euro football, but I know enough to see that there are some mega-rich owners who spend stupidly and extravagantly. I worry about you being a drain on us as Henry tries to compete in the Premier League. He WILL spend money, no doubt, but will your need for money hurt the Red Sox? That's my selfish concern.

I'm not quite sure, but I think I remember seeing something on a sports site a while ago about a baseball player being sold for a record price. Maybe one of our American posters on here knows more about that. Anyway, it's rare for them to go digging in their pockets to buying wholesale over there.
The difference being, of course, that the Red Sox have returned to the pinnacle of their sport since getting new owners, whereas the Canadiens didn't get up to much under Gillett (surprise, surprise). For now, I'll remain cautiously optimistic while enjoying the spectacle of Twit and Tw.at being run out of town on a rail.

You can't base ownership purely on geography, learn a bit about the guy and you'll see he's class. He's not gonna spend 300 million a seasno on players, but thats now what we want anyways

Hick will also try to stop the club from making any profit during this time.
Hicks could ask the pream to block liverpool from playing any game or for games to be set under closed doors.
this is going to get very nasty now.
the club was sort of solf 3 hours ago yet Hicks is in place to get it all put in the bim.
the sale of the club still leaves us with a debt of 37mil, thats about the norm for a big company.
buy do the new owners have the funds to buy players and build a ground.....no.
Your just p!ssed cos you didnt have a scooby what was happening
Didn't you hear - lakes said last night he mentioned them a while back but the reality he didn't have the first clue
