Thanks mates. Also, it should be noted that John Henry won't be the only owner - he brings together a team of people with money, which he fronts. The Red Sox consistently have one of the highest payrolls in baseball, and Liverpool will have the money needed to compete. Especially with this lower sale price.

As another American in the ranks, I must say if the new ownerships actions in Major League Baseball, where they are not afraid to throw money around, is any indication of how they will handle LFC than this move should be welcomed indeed. The Red Sox have been in the top five in payroll for every year that NESV has owned them. This indeed is good news for this club...cause I mean, how much more bad news could we take?

Ciggy, I can't say whether he'll keep the manager, which is a good thing. He listens implicitly to his sporting people. He has a high profile, but only in that he's willing to invest and reach out to fans. If his sporting people at LFC say keep Roy, he will. But if not, he won't be afraid to move on. The Red Sox came within one game of the World Series in 2003 and their manager was a weak link. They fired him, and brought in a new guy that won two championships for them. He makes moves, but only when advised.

Who do you think will be his advisors as i imagine only Ayres will stay on in the commercial dept as he is doing a really good job.

We will need a new CEO and Purslow will leave also when we are sold.

Most of the fans are unhappy with the current manager and if he wants winner us being in the relegation zone is not a sign of us being winners.

Also a new manager must come in and build our team around Torres, Gerrard, Reina & Agger and the new owners need to add similar quality of players for our best ones to stay. Do you think they would do this?

I don't think hed sack Hodgson judging by what I know on the Red Sox. Hed leave things a bit, invest a fair few million in January and see what happens. Hed also be talking to a lot of the senior players and senior management...

Boston Red Sox shows how a club should be run so this is a brilliant appointment.
