F.ucking idiots. Ive got a lot of respect for Broughton now though, at least he had the balls to go ahead and accept the bid.

Bringing in Broughton to sell the club was all a big lie though, he obviously never actually had any power if the yanks can just have him thrown out of the board like this.

I know it was all a ploy like everything that have done, they thought by bringing Broughton in it would appease the banks and the fans and bring twit and tw@t more time to screw us.

THE FINAL DAYS ARE HERE NOW AND THEY ARE DESPERATE AND HAVE JUST PUT THE FINAL NAIL IN THEIR COFFIN BY TRYING TO REMOVE THE BOARD.

Does anyone know where this cnut Hicks lives? The guy must step outside his front door? Do you think he travels everywhere with a bodyguard?

How long would it take for a paid hitman to take him out? Even just someone to run him over or smack him over the head with a hammer!!

Maybe the strain of all this will cause him to drop dead...(if only)

Fuming!!! ARRRGGGGH. Does this w*nker ever think he could step foot in Liverpool again and be safe??

If ever a human being deserved to die it is him!! Such lust for money and wealth at ALL COSTS is evil personified!!

Hang on the fundamental points that must addressed are - pay all existing debt, provide provable funds for transfers and stadium and no more leveraged debt.

I for one will not rule out any owners nationality. And as g as H&G are no longer involved and the above points are addressed any owner will do.

Gillett and Hicks attempting Liverpool FC board overhaul

George Gillett and Tom Hicks are planning to remove two members of the Liverpool board attempting to sanction a sale of the club.

Earlier today the Americans attempted to replace managing director Christian Purslow and commercial director Ian Ayre with Mack Hicks and Lori Kay McCutheon following news of bids being received from the United States and Asia.

Hicks is the son of the Texan co-owner whilst McCutheon is vice president at Hicks Holdings and are the strongest indication of Gillett and Hicks' bid to safeguard their status as owners of Liverpool for a further two years at least

Along with chairman Martin Broughton, Purslow and Ayre have opposed Gillett and Hicks' plans to refinance and have now sought legal advice in a bid to block the decision.

A club statement said: "The board of directors have received two excellent financial offers to buy the club that would repay all its long-term debt. A board meeting was called today to review these bids and approve a sale.

"Shortly prior to the meeting, the owners - Tom Hicks and George Gillett - sought to remove managing director Christian Purslow and commercial director Ian Ayre from the board, seeking to replace them with Mack Hicks and Lori Kay McCutheon.

"This matter is now subject to legal review and a further announcement will be made in due course.

"Meanwhile Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre continue to explore every possible route to achieving a sale of the Club at the earliest opportunity."

good call mate, but i can tell you the Hicks has not given up hope of staying at the club and and in talks with other that will try to help him stay there.

by the way the other american bidders are not new, they have been about for over a year in the background.

at one time they were going to come in as the 3rd party.

if they some how get away with sacking the board and replacing them with their own men there has to be some kind of rallying call for every fan and person associated with the club, also players to walk away from the club

RBS will not stand for them.

They know full well what awaits them in the UK if they put LFC in turmoil. Their reputation is shot already, they cannot afford anymore negative publicity.

That much is a no-brainer.

If RBS won't do it it's time for the fans groups worldwide to launch legal action to force a sale from these two shysters.
