i know there no point talking about signing anyone cus we can't sign anyone till january but his currently down the pecking order behind raul,ronaldo,guti and owen and we could do with an out and out striker and he fits for the bill and will be a better option than mista

Mista is still free while Morientes isn't. I doubt that we will sign Morientes.

yeh but morientes is an out and out striker and he hardly gettin a look in at real and he we were close to signing him this summer i would take him over mista any day :cool:

I would too but the question is how much would he cost us? Paying anything over 10 million is a waste. I rather take 20 million and spend them on 3-4 players than on one player.

morientes will be ineligible for Chumps League so big $$ on him would be silly.

Anyway, isn't owen behind him in madrid pecking order?

And how do you know that we where close to signing him in the summer, I never heard even a rumour, so I would question your source of that info.

when owen was on his way a swap deal for eto or morientes

I heard we enquired as part of the Owen deal but he laughed at us, then Et'o did the same.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.

I know from previous Stu that you are an Owen fan. I'll give you that we could do with him right now as we haven't another natural goalscorer but wouldn't you rather take Mista on a free rather than a demoralised Owen for in the region of 10mill?   ??? Just a thought.
