On a serious note he is one of the greatest ever striker, World player 3 times as fast as you get finishes like only afew can and is very strong.

Just watch his play from last year and the way he took the mancs apart makes him great in my book.

Unless he played for the scum or chelski then i would have to hate him sorry.

I WOULDNT MIND ETOO AS PART OF THE DEAL HE HAS THE PACE TO MAKE IT IN THE PREM BUT I STILL HAVE A GUT FEELING THAT OWEN MIGHT STILL STAY

lets face it.....dont think we can even afford ronaldo's salary even though i am a great fan of his excellent striking instincts.

i cant see any truth in this, but i still think ronaldo is the best striker in the world, look at his scoring record, even when he was a inter(which was supposed to of been a flop) his goal to game ratio was unbeliveable

Apparently it is only gossip .
In private conversation about Owen to Madrid it now seems that Ronaldo said nothing more than how good a club LFC are and if he ever did play in the premiership it is the kind of club he would play for.
The rest is just spanish fans getting carried away with rumour and speculation just like us .
Morientes remains the favourite if Owen goes to Real .

Gillem Ballague on talksport a few minutes ago.

Owen deal could be done today but most likely tomorrow. There is news of Owens dad in Spain. Real do want him, Morientes is likely to come to liverpool. I REPEAT he says OWEN WILL GO TO MADRID.

Alonso: He said xabi is expected to be a Liverpool player in the next 24 hours, he was expected to go to real as Sociedad bought Arteta but because liverpool have the money ready the deal will happen. Also expect Luis Garcia of Barcelona to arrive.

SO thats owen to madrid and morientes, alonso and garcia to us....according to one of my favourite pundits in world football. at least he will be my favourite if it does happen.

According to several internet report, the Alonsi bid has been rejected as they are holding out for a higher bid from Liverpool.

Any ideas how much this Garcia would cost?

we'd probably bring him in on loan for a season with an option to then buy him. basically he's not gonna get a game at barca because they've just signed guily.
