Its big news deffo, what is not great news is the fact we could be owned by some fella who's owned an offie and a kebab shop.

Theres no way Broughton is going to sell to Saddam the Syrian.

Our financial position is so weak that even just 12 months of another bad owner will break us. To bet the house on a Syrian who is suspected to be part of a T&T scam? Dream on, back to yer takeaway and stay there laddie.

Im made up Heungs representatives have been in touch with SOS, By doing this they are actualy acknowledging the fans. Well the ones who have fought tooth and nail to get these two out, First big step of Heung that,
But as Igor said to early to put the welcome mate out yet , if he does end up with the club, and after all the info i have had on him he is looking my first choice , But i will reserve my judgment until i see him come up with the readies ,and lets see when he gets in what happens, Do the right thing by us Kenny lad and youll have a bigger RED ARMY BEHIND YOU THAN CHAIRMAN MAU
HE WHO BETRAYS WILL ALWAYS WALK ALONE

Ren & Stimpeys new stalling tactics? Dodgy as feck coming out an hour after Huang had been intouch with SOS  :glare:
Cancer & Aids wont get near Anfield on sunday.

Sky Sports News understands that the consortium fronted by Yahya Kirdi expects to have signed an initial takeover deal with Liverpool by Sunday afternoon.

It emerged last week that the group of investors from the Middle East was interested in buying out Reds co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks and now it is reported that an agreement has been reached.

The consortium hopes that a first contract, which will not complete the takeover, will be signed before Liverpool kick-off their Premier League campaign against Arsenal on Sunday at Anfield, a game which can be seen live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1.

All parties - including Kirdi's group, Gillett and Hicks, and the Premier League, which now has tougher rules regarding the fit and proper person test - are said to be ready to gather before the weekend.

Sky Sports News has also reported that the consortium has agreed to pay off all of Liverpool's debts to The Royal Bank of Scotland and Wells Fargo, and that funds will be supplied to complete the planned construction of a new stadium in Stanley Park.

Correct decision
There has also been clarification of Canada-based Kirdi's financial position, with the former Syria international said to be 'well off' and not a billionaire as has been reported in the past.

Earlier on Monday Indian conglomerate Sahara Group, one of the parties expressing an interest in buying Liverpool, cooled their interest, while Chinese tycoon Kenny Huang has also made enquiries.

Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton is overseeing the sale, being run by Barclays Capital, and is conscious of the need to make the correct decision when it comes to a change of ownership.

In July he stressed it was important to choose the most appropriate bid and not necessarily take the highest offer, at the same time confirming co-owners Hicks and Gillett could not block a sale to a particular party if it was deemed in the best interests of the club.

Broughton, managing director Christian Purslow and commercial director Ian Ayre make up the other members of the board and can out-vote the co-owners if there is no consensus on the best candidate.

Hicks and Gillett are not inclined to support the bid by Huang, as he has insisted there will be no profit for the Americans in his calculations over what the club is worth

That sly sports story is rubbish, why would Huang bother contacting the SOS if an agreement had already been made with Kirdi ???

I reckon this Kirdi is just a pawn in them pair of c-unts cack handed game to bump up the offers from the genuine bidders.
Cant see any solid contracted bid coming in from him in a million years.

What if it is a last ditch effort by the Chinese to secure a deal?

If the Kirdi deal is almost done, they surely know this and have decided to curry favour with the fans to save their buy out chances.

Look, 'we' have no knolwedge of Saddam the Syrian's terms but I'm telling you now I do not want a friend of T&T's to take over, I do not want a Syrian who traditionally have no interest in football, experience of running top flight clubs nor track record of sporting prowess and are governed by a dicatator who promotes global terrorism. I do not want a guy who has nothing 'special' to offer, Syria is not a 'new market' in which we will tap significant revenues, nor is anywhere in the eastern med area, nor Canada. He will continue the plan of T&T to milk the media rights and increase prices etc.. Its an old, worn out business plan, we know it doesnt work. This is not the right guy to safeguard the furure of our football club nor come in to rebuild our fortunes.

Kenny Heung nor China have the requisite football experience but they do have access to a 1.5 billion people home market that if wisely exploited will create substantial income for the club and raise our profile in the far east market - the future revenue earning region in the world. China will also become a superpower and in principle we could be the strongest team in the strongest country with the largest population and collectively massive disposable income. Selling TV rights into China will yield a mighty return. In principle Kenny also has CIC worth $313 billion behind him.

This Syrian does not represent the future, he has nothing to offer. The Chinese have money, a market and massive potential.

Like I said, I do not know the terms of Saddam´s offer but I hope to goodness SSN is deeply wrong, I hope that Broughton will have already established my above points.  SOS - must - immediately contact the club to ascertain the truth and to establish whether they are going with Saddam. A weaker bid from the Chinese - with a future - is better than a few more million upfront and no future. Ask Moores.....

I really do not want to believe we could fúck up the ownership again.... it would break us.  :(

Apparently Yay Kirdi's background has put massive doubt into him having any bid accepted even if it meets the asking price. Some talk is saying that he has already been ruled out of owning LFC.

Got that from Buxton's twitter page

I dont know anything about Twitter or facebook mate, but I do trust my own instincts.

I hope you're right because you can be sure T&T will be putting massive pressure on Ayres and Purslow and they only need one vote... I'm sure T&T would love to slash the clubs jugular on the way out.
