Look, 'we' have no knolwedge of Saddam the Syrian's terms but I'm telling you now I do not want a friend of T&T's to take over, I do not want a Syrian who traditionally have no interest in football, experience of running top flight clubs nor track record of sporting prowess and are governed by a dicatator who promotes global terrorism. I do not want a guy who has nothing 'special' to offer, Syria is not a 'new market' in which we will tap significant revenues, nor is anywhere in the eastern med area, nor Canada. He will continue the plan of T&T to milk the media rights and increase prices etc.. Its an old, worn out business plan, we know it doesnt work. This is not the right guy to safeguard the furure of our football club nor come in to rebuild our fortunes.

Kenny Heung nor China have the requisite football experience but they do have access to a 1.5 billion people home market that if wisely exploited will create substantial income for the club and raise our profile in the far east market - the future revenue earning region in the world. China will also become a superpower and in principle we could be the strongest team in the strongest country with the largest population and collectively massive disposable income. Selling TV rights into China will yield a mighty return. In principle Kenny also has CIC worth $313 billion behind him.

This Syrian does not represent the future, he has nothing to offer. The Chinese have money, a market and massive potential.

Like I said, I do not know the terms of Saddam´s offer but I hope to goodness SSN is deeply wrong, I hope that Broughton will have already established my above points.  SOS - must - immediately contact the club to ascertain the truth and to establish whether they are going with Saddam. A weaker bid from the Chinese - with a future - is better than a few more million upfront and no future. Ask Moores.....

You've got a bank who want their money back, two owners who are desperate to sell and a deadline rapidly approaching. Anybody who's serious about buying the club couldn't possibly have an alignment of circumstances more in their favour. That being the case, why the feck would anybody reveal their bid before they absolutely have to and risk getting involved in a struggle which will push the price up? Would you, if you wanted to buy it? Would you feck, you'd sit on your hands and let the clock tick towards October 1st. You'd probably save yourself a couple of hundred million quid. You might even wait until the bank repossess it if you can get away with it, they'll be looking to offload it fairly sharpish afterwards at a knock down price.

Broughton (who is doing a good job IMHO) can say "I want all bids in by Thursday" all he wants, he knows and everyone knows that an eleventh hour smash and grab job would almost certainly succeed, just as it does in any business sale. Providing any late movers get in before any agreements in principle have been signed (and these two c...s won't be signing any of them until every single avenue has been explored), they'll be happy to let all the skirmishing take place between the also rans.

That's my point anyway. The real buyer IMHO will be keeping their cards close to their chests. It may well be this Sahara lot from India if you ask me (although nobody ever does obviously).

OK fair enough, but I have seen comments on here alluding to the fact that LFC will become a little pocket of communism. And that the Chinese government will be imposing themselves on the club.
