I don't know whether this is the correct thread or the most appropriate to post this in ,but here goes..... One of the Lads who works for a high profile business based in Liverpool has an important meeting with clients from overseas on the same Weekend as the Arsenal game so he thought rather than miss the game he would incorporate the game around the meeting anyway to cut a long story short this is what Liverpool Football Club priced the 3 course meal in the Gladstone Conservatory and then watching the game ..... even included on a personal expense account this will take some explaining to his company

he tried to book The executive club ...and the Village as well as the Reds Bar but all were totally sold out

and their prices were astronomical ....seems these types of corporate get together's are apparently where the Club sees its money being made

RB, I don't thinkl those prices are high for corporate hospitality. If you go to Cheltenham or Ascot you will pay a lot more than that.

Cheaper to take them to the knocking shop which is what I do with my clients.

Had some Koreans down here a couple of weeks ago and a Venezuelan next week. Its tough though because theres no telly to watch the game.

Well if you look at LFC recent figures that they released for tickets next season . Corporate tickets available is now 8'000 from 5'000 last season . They've plucked another 3,000 tickets from somewhere ,hmmm wonder where from ?

When I was looking at corporate hospitality, we got prices in from Reading FC and they weren't much different from Liverpools and that's a Championship club. How else do you expect the club make money to pay for players wages, transfers etc. Until we have a new stadium with higher gates, we have to maximise the clubsincome as best we can.

Look, moaning aside, OF COURSE the club is to blame. 20-30 years ago we stood on the Kop, the Paddock, Annie Road, cheap specs for people on working wages. The others sat in the stands, priced accordingly. When they seated the ground, they didnt increase the capacity sufficiently and THATS what we´re paying for today - there is no provision for the working man to come to the game and sit in a reasonably priced seat. The top end payers are increasing in number and the 'cheap seats' are being reduced to cater for them. Its called supply and demand and until we get a new stadium it will only get worse.

As John Lennon said at the Royal Variey Show, 'Those in the cheap seats clap your hands and those in the posh seats rattle your jewellery!'.
