Just found this on a football rumours site. I know , I know it's probably rubbish, but here it is anyway.

Just recieved an email from TalkSport and some press guys i met at Cheltenham races earlier this year!

Press conferance at ANFIELD! Meant to be something big as Barcap are involved! Usually Melwood, only Anfield for BIG NEWS

i hope your right or will it be yet another false dawn?
but there does seem to be quite a few people mentioning this rumour.

Anyway have now received an email from a friend who says something big is about to break.

It'll be his leg if it turns out to be rubbish !!!

nothing to do with me, I dont get that much info now as most of my friends have news jobs.
I only hear things like that there was a meeting last week and Hicks might have :censored:

Unless RBS and the city get some info on the side now there not much chance of real info getting out to the press unless its let out by the club.

There's loads of rumours out there now and it shows how desperate we all are for news that we are prepared to believe anything.

The latest is 2 bids on table , one absolutely perfect , news conference tomorrow is to announce signing of Figueroa and also the fact that 2 bids are in.

One bid is apparently Ambani. In top 5 richest men in world.

Let's hope that at least it's true that there are bids on the table , the end may be in sight !

The end is in sight mate, you just need a good pair of binoculars to make it out. My guess is long before anyone signs on any dotted lines, this thread will be comfortably over 1000 pages and we'll be in the last 8 of the FA Cup. I'm hoping that's this years FA Cup, but I can't be sure.

Now not a rumour or owt like that. But, remember when i mentioned workinng in Oman for Reliance. One of Ambani's very top men was certain that he was going to purchase the club. I reported that last october i think. I was excited at the time but thought that with time passing it was bull. Now, im not so sure!

With all due respect bigmick , hope is all we've got at the moment.

The thought that this could drag on for months and months is just too horrific to contemplate !

The banks want their money and they will do everything in their power to make sure a sale goes through .
Let's hope that if it's true they choose the best fit for Liverpool FC and not the one that offers the most money .

My other wish is that we DON'T end up like Man City . Throwing money around like there is no tomorrow.

Mate there's nothing wrong with hopes, as long as you don't build them up too much. Obviously we all hope we're sold next week, but if like me you're constantly downbeat and cynical about things it does stop you getting overly disappointed when it all goes to sh!t

If it's any consolation, I don't think we're that much worse off because I think whoever buys the club will be a sheister, and in any case I think we'll do alright anyway.

what's the point in having a press conference to tell the press about something they already know about?
