I would seriously doubt their credentials if such a scenario unfolded ,as Igor said earlier the proverbial gloves are off and this is where it gets serious :(

Completely agree mate, which is why we need soeone not conencted with us so strongly to help with the protest so we make the right decisions, not the heartfelt ones.. thats all I want.

It's the way my mind works, see a problem, work it out non-emotionally.

Awesome, but no use being on forums, needs to be in the media, we need photos, we need to see the american fans joining us visually and vocally, we need to make a massive spectacle so the sale of our clbu takes months, not years

Not sure about that mate. If it gets out into the media too much Fifa could see it as trouble and ask stewards to ban them from the stadiums as they don't want to be seen as being caught in the middle of a feud.

I agree that would also be a good story to make noise about but I can see Fifa just hushing us and it's not like the rags would do us any favours.

It's not an insult... just no one seems to listen.

Maybe it's because I'm not scouse I can see things clearly. If we want to get new ownership, which I know we all do, we need to be more calculated. We can't show emotions in the burning flag sense.

And SOS did not burn the American flag, but they are guilty by association, and that makes us look amatuer as well.

We need to burn effigies of the owners, we need to somehow work with the fans from acorss the pond who have also been affected by the 2 kunts in there prospective sports.

I don't mean to insult mate, it's just people are laughing down the burning flag situation, but I think it's going to have strong rammifications towards getting a new owner.

spot on mate.

Bleedin Flags !!!
FFS how many times have you got to chew something before you swallow ? It's done ! Shouldn't have been, but it's done.
If you're scouse you'd realise that we get the blame if we've done it or not. Live with it. It's over.

the thing is mate its not over in the view of the americans.
going by the ameican new forums (used for news feeds in american but open to others) they are very upset about it, Liverpool fans aare being called all sorts of names on them.

they dont see it as Anti G&H but only as anti  american.

some are planing a mass event to burn liverpool flags and shirts. (some might think its a good idea to burn the old shirt due to who got the money from them lol)

the thing is that the image of the club in america has been hurt by this event.

they are also using it for the usa v england game coming up, saying that all england fans are skin heads looking for fights, photos of the burning flag have been sent to the american players in hope it pushes them to beat us.

there is hope, as there are a few brits that use the sites and they are tryingto get the amricans to understand it was not about the usa but only G&H but they dont understand why two dick heads should change the liverpools fans views on the whole of the usa.

We dont give two fucks what they burn, and you wont hardly find an England fan in liverpool anyway.
Why on earth are you scouring American forums anyway?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

i try to see the wider image of the club and its fans, for years we got a bad name in the press for something that happend over seas,  then when we lost 96 loved ones the press put the blame onto us again, we have had a fight to show how wrong they are and the scum they are....lets not undo the good work doneby us fans. liverpool fans burning anything is not a good image to see.

get the owners out by use of Wit And Wisdom and you will win friends along the way.

This is my first post here, but I've been lurking for years.  For once Lakes hit it on the head.  Until about 10 years ago you couldn't watch much football in the States, and I liked Michael Owen (I know that's a sore subject here) so I started to follow Liverpool.  I've learned a lot of great things about this club's traditions; now sadly remember April 15th as something other than the day I have to file my taxes; would never buy that s&*t rag.  But Lakes has a point, I still see s&^t all over the internet blaming Liverpool fans for Heysel and Hillsborough.

I'm sorry but anger leads to stupidity.  And incidents like this, whether people like it or not, give people the wrong impression about Liverpool fans.  And if people connect this to SOS, it hurts them too.

Good first post mate.

It's got to be a smart campaign.
