No Daw's I was there that night with a couple of the lads and the most offensive sight I seen was a couple of beauts that turned up in the Standard Chartered tops ....but I personally put that down to naivety ......... so lets carry on the flag burning if it raises our profile rather than having it ignored ,because believe me Lad I suggest you strap yourself in if you believe the most outrageous act will be the burning of a solitary flag

Its amazing how all the protests that have gone before "This little unofficial protest " have had little media coverage ,but the burning of a flag lifts our profile to the point of it receiving a world wide audience..... sad but true

and in this war of attrition it is now a necessary evil to finally show the depth of feeling however futile it may seem to those looking in as opposed to out

It's not an insult... just no one seems to listen.

Maybe it's because I'm not scouse I can see things clearly. If we want to get new ownership, which I know we all do, we need to be more calculated. We can't show emotions in the burning flag sense.

And SOS did not burn the American flag, but they are guilty by association, and that makes us look amatuer as well.

We need to burn effigies of the owners, we need to somehow work with the fans from acorss the pond who have also been affected by the 2 kunts in there prospective sports.

I don't mean to insult mate, it's just people are laughing down the burning flag situation, but I think it's going to have strong rammifications towards getting a new owner.

Still with the flag business? It's not like there has traditionally been a weekly burning of the american flag. Anyone wanting to buy this club will have looked deeper into matters and it's public knowledge how G&H have made a mockery of this club.

I'd love to actually do this right... we need to triangulate with the american fans who've been f*cked over as much as us. If we do this clever, go global, then we can win... but we really nede them on our side, and burning the flag wont help

It's been done. I actually think we're making a bigger fuss than is actually necessary. It wasn't big, it wasn't clever but sh!t happens when you p!ss an angry mob off. It's done, hopefully it won't happen again, I'm not even going to try and justify this act of stupidity but as I've already previously stated it was an act of protest against two tw@ts more than against Americans. I'm sure whoever did it knows it was a fairly stupid thing to do but in the circumstances things were pretty heated.

can we move on noew please?

Yes, Not just SOS ,but if you look over on Rawk (i know you don't like going on there ) you'll see a thread where it's being organised for LFC fans ,both from the USA and England to take G+H banners to the USA V England match in the world cup . Also at other games aswell .

The emotions of football fans is what keeps the sport alive though Daws and Liverpool fans are well known for their unbridled passion and that's nothing to do with being Scouse mate ,that's a worldwide trait so when the nation views our unrest and hatred towards the owners they will know it stems from our conviction to the cause........
On a more personal note I would hope the next owners if they indeed materialize are not of an American persuasion
I would seriously doubt their credentials if such a scenario unfolded ,as Igor said earlier the proverbial gloves are off and this is where it gets serious
