And Bob, how naive are you, thinking America won't hear about some flag burning, of course they will hear about it. They ae the proudest nation on the planet, they'll see it, and hate it, as they should.

Kinell,  mate, I've got an American wife and you're going to lecture me about how the Americans will view the incident?  Give over.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt it these same flag burning, drunken idiots that have created such a valuable Premier League product and valuable LFC brand?

Are we supposed to change our behaviour for the cameras then revert to type when they're turned off?

Dont tell me investors dont know what British football fans are like, lets try to keep some grip on reality here.

And who said the flag burner or anyone else in the demo was drunk?

Why do you keep putting LFC fans down?  ???  ???

Ciggy, some of us are not upset with the pasion our fans have to get rid of these two b@stards...we just question the methods. We will get rid of them, but we have to be smart about it.

On the flag-related LFC ownership issue. I wouldn't have done it, and I wouldn't advise it because it associates a whole nation with the acts of two individuals and that isn't a good template to follow. But in this day and age we should be prepared to accept that where deep injustice is felt and a remedy is long in coming, these things are liable to happen. It would be just as ignorant for those who feel such a strong attachment to a national symbol to assume in kind that all LFC fans or any LFC-related group is a bunch of mindless savages. It gets you nowhere. Those who are offended would do well to put it in perspective and ask if there's any real consequence to this at all. I don't see it myself.

before it was Benitez and now this, some people around here like doing nothing else other than focus on things that are not important.

I am starting to get this impression from some
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

lad, some of us care about what is carried out in OUR name. There are big problems with the SOS campaign and they need addressing. Sadly, no one wants to listen. That is why the SOS thing has done sweet FA over the last 2 years.
