that was days ago, the march was to meet at 6pm and then head up to the ground???

Tell me Lakes, for how long have you worked for the yanks?

If there was ever one person with a screwed up agenda, its you son.

You´re for, you´re against, you change your mind every 30 seconds and whatever your view, you believe with gusto bordering on venom.

Why cant you stop firing posts faster than a machine gun, work out what you actually believe in and come back and tell us, say limited to 3 posts a day?

Honest, unless the yanks pay you by the post, I cant see whats in it for you.

From a locked thread:

Racist banners

This is either stupid, or racist is mistaken with another word.

Burning a flag can be a lot of things but not racist. Everybody knows that burning a Yank flag is not pleasant, but it's the quickest way to be read in the Washington Post.

Anyway, if SOS as a collective is judged in such a way because a member does an unpleasant action, we could indeed talk about another collective, the footie journalists.

That collective that has something hot for dinner thanks to the football fans they read their shíte, and do talk a lot of bóllocks about our favourite sport.

I didn't like the gesture of burning a flag, to be honest. But if that was my flag and the protesting guys were anti Rafa, I know I wouldn't call it racist, and I know I wouldn't make a drama out of it. Probably I'd criticise the lack of support of the manager, but I wouldn't be too offended by the burnt flag.

Supporter Unions are the way to go. In those cases you always have fans that join and fans who do not join. Among the ones who do not join, you always see the same pattern, they take a pretext, they make a drama out of it, and then they state that's the reason they don't join the Union.

But the true reason is that they do not like a model in which football supporters have the important role they used to have in this Sport years ago.

The reasons for that can be plenty, decades ago, when the supporters were important, we didn't have a merchandising industry, and we didn't have a brigade of footie journalists filling in their pockets with our favourite sport.

7_Kewell, I know my post is harsh, and I don't like it because I've liked you since ages and that won't change. But it really písses me off to see a bunch of supporters  working hard and with little resources, and people not only joining, but putting a lot of obstacles and attacks to their work.

I think SOS deserves a lot of respect. If the guy of the flag made a mistake, let's have a thought, let's say sorry if that's the correct thing to do in this politically correct world, but let's not make a drama out of it and say a collective are a bunch of twát just because a member made a mistake in one protest.

I don't like the gesture of the burnt flag. I agree it's not the way. But I disagree for instance half the planet will hate us for that.

I also don't see what can be considered as an official action of SOS and what cannot. Meaning, when SOS sends a mail, when they send someone for an interview with people of the club, we know those actions are official.

But can be extended what an individual member does in a protest to a whole collective? I don't think so. If 100 people go to protest against climate change and one of them throws a Molotov cocktail, I wouldn't hurry to consider the 99 peaceful people just like the guy of the Molotov cocktail.

Theres a difference between crying and burning an american flag...

Why would anyone want to invest in us when they see us burning the American flag???

Thats whats destroying our club. We need to get the message that we want Hicks and Gillette gone, not that we hate America...
