its not big sh!t IMO I dont see the big deal. The flags weren't aimed at the American nation, anyone remotely associated with LFC will know that the flags were used as a metaphor for T&T's reign at the club

youm ay not think that, but how will the international press treat it?

FWIW, I can promise you that very few Americans will have heard of the flag burning and fewer still will care. the way I look at it somebody got carried away and burnt a flag, not the best thing to do but burning a flag is not gonna stop investment it's the price the yanks want for our club

this issue is well blown out of proportion and everybody knows it

looks to me some members want to pin all the blame on SOS for some reason

I'm not a member and don't plan on bein one but I can understand the hard work they a tryin to do

And Bob, how naive are you, thinking America won't hear about some flag burning, of course they will hear about it. They ae the proudest nation on the planet, they'll see it, and hate it, as they should.

It isn't americans it puts off, but ANY foreign investor. Who want to buy a club where their fans do things like this?

As i keep saying, focus on their BAD BUSINESS PLAN, not their nationality

Rather than lashing out at us for doing it they should be lashing out at Hicks and Gillett for disgracing the country that they come from by coming over here and ruining our club.
And if our American fans dont understand that well I dont care because they must be stupid.

Club before country the same applies to them !!!

Proudest nation?? What are you on about? I'm as proud of my nation as any yank and by gum we've got a whole lot more to be proud of than they have so once again its nanny state 'dont upset anyone' syndrome.

If any yank is upset why a flag was burned then he can telephone SOS direct or get on a plane to Speke and come see for himself.

Not all yanks are stupid y´know.

no Cigs, that's not the point. The point is we need new investment, and we won't get it if we are seen as flag burning drunken idiots, which is how the international media will perceive us. We need to be clever, we need to attack the owners, not the country they come from. It really is that simple.

We need to show the world that not only are we passionate, but we know what we are doing, that we are disciplned and we need to be taken seriously...

ciggy, i hate our owners. I hate for what they have done to our club and i hate the fact they wont leave.

I don't hate them because they are americans, which is a corner stone of SOS' campaign.

I dont hate Americans I have family in America, mates there, SOS which I am a member of dont hate Americans either, we all just hate George Gillett & Tom Hicks. ciggs, i'm sure that is the case. i am sure you (and a lot of SOS guys) do not hate americans. But that is the image that is portrayed to the world when they see YANKS OUT banners and US flags getting burned.
