Its the mix of views and how people express themselves that makes the game great and this forum is just a snapshot of that. Its all very normal. You can sit in a football ground, sit in bar, and see fans falling out amongst themselves and about their own team and next minute jumping on each other when a goal goes in. You go though it all, the high, the low, the fallouts, but bottom line is we all just want the best for the club.

If his spending between 04-07 had been better targeted and utilised in terms of quality rather than quantity and on the wrong players we'd have a squad now closer to United and Chelski's and would therefore need little strengthening. After all how much have United and Chelski spend in the last couple of summers? Not as much as before because they haven't needed to. Benitez through his naivety tactically and lack of knowledge on the premiership when he arrived underestimated the job in 2004 and clearly believe that the likes of Gonzalez, Nunez, Morientes, Josemi and some others would settle without too much difficulty. The squad is now paying the price of his mistakes.

Should come out and acknowledge that the season gone by was a very poor one, were gonna do our best in the summer, learn from our mistakes and hit the ground running at the start of next season with everyone in the squad all extremely eager to work their balls off to put things right!
