Seriously doubt that's his reasons for staying. As if he needs it.

Yeah the first thing he said when it was mentioned was ..... I don't need it you can keep it.  :D

hmmmmm

If that were the case then he could probably sue them for this season as he wasn't told the money put aside had to be used to renew contracts too. Plus some was used to pay off the debt.

At the end of the day he came here with his family and all to do a job. And he wasn't given the full backing of his superiors. If he feels aggrieved then he has a right too. He is potentially facing having to move his family again.... it can't be easy when your kids are settled into the area. I know 16Mil is a lot ofmoney but football is a crazy world.

He could try to sue them for constructive dismisal, but they would just say that unexpected exigencies changed their priorities. His best bet is to sit tight and hope Liverpool blink first.

Better yet someone get David Moores to pay him off. One small step on the road to redemption....

He gets £80-100k per week EVERY week Bav to ease the burden of having to move house, I don't think he deserves £16million on top of that mate. I REALLY DON'T !

I fecking hope so mate, he plays for Liverpool FC not Rafa FC. He must be a little p!ssed off that he left A.Madrid to win trophies and now they are in a final and our season is over.

I know mate and I don't think footballers should be paid more than doctors and public sector workers for kicking a ball round for 90 mins a week but hey this is the how silly things are now.  :D

Maybe instead of giving him £16million cash he would accept payment in kind..... Give him Babel and Lucas and call it straight.  :D

You wont get Torres. Juve don't have 100Mil to splash on 1player anyway.

100 mil??? 40/45 could be enough. Anyway I agree with you, it's unlikely to see him in Italy, especially Juventus.

We could get £60million tomorrow off City for him mate, £45million wouldn't even buy his left foot.
