Does this look like the look of a man who is going? Nah didn't think so.

I think he must have gone Bav ...... the link doesn't work mate  :D

Sorry not sure why it didn't work. Anyway it was of Rafa joking around with Ayala at the end. I think this was taken at around the same time.

There also isn't a club in the world with the same stature that has had this inside fighting and turmoil and it's name constantly degraded in the press and media who are hell bent in getting a manager sacked.

What there's not the same politicking at Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus? Don't be daft mate.

Yes there's been a fair bit going on, but it doesn't change a thing. If you accept seventh as a reasonable performance, you will end up with the team you deserve. If the fans send outthe message to the owners by backing Benitez that they are happy to settle for seventh, are they more or less likely to put their hands in their pockets for new players?

As I've said many times, the owners are hoping for one of two scenarios. Either he fecks off of his volition, or the fans keep up the Raffer-raff-eye-elle nonsense and tolerate mediocrity. Rafa staying is their win win scenario.

That raffa elle nonsense is the Anfield crowd showing their support and helping create the atmosphere we are famous , maybe one day get your :censored: there and call it nonsense then .

Italian medias say Benitez will be next Juventus manager for sure. It seems he has already signed. He needs just to reach a "come out-deal" (i don't know how you call it) with Liverpool.
Anyway it's not sure whether anyone of his stuff will join Juve too. In Italy we don't grant a manager too much power.

Just watched the match again on MOTD, depressing. Although many of us didnt want us to hand the title over to them, the performance really does some up the season. Lack of ideas, commitment and talent. It really is depressing. Looking again at the match we were all fretting over nothing really. Our reaction was one as if we had a choice, we didnt. If this match didnt depend on Liverpool handing the title to the mancs and they performed like that any other time (like the rest of this season for instance) it would confirm once and for all Benitez has to go.

We are stale and predictable in the way we play. We are boring to watch and the fact many of us were watching the match with the feelings we had sums up the total negative vibes that the club is giving. From owners to manager, players to staff we really need big changes. A start has been made, the yanks have put the club up for sale, its just a matter of time before someone comes in, so there is hope there. With rafa however, whatever way you portray him, he is holding the club to ransom. He has tried to fob of the blame onto lack of funds, our poor results on decisions going against us and the general post match interview after a loss "now we concentrate on the next game".

And I am especially dismayed how he can still smile after games in which we have been a shambles. Today included. Many people who suffer poor performances and poor results find it hard to smile until the next day, but rafa smiles and concentrates "on the next game".

Enough is enough. We need some sort of hope for the future, and when the yanks have gone once and for all that would be a massive start, but short term hope has to start with rafa.

Ive just read what you put earlier in the priority thread Saint, so we are pretty much along the same line of thought. We do need to make a change now, or as soon as possible. This cannot continue, we are a joke, but not so many people are laughing. Look at the mancs today, many of there supporters accusing liverpool (and gerrard in particular) of throwing the match. We didnt, we have performed like that all season. It is funny with them though, laughing at how bad we have been all season only for our poor performances to blow up in there face ! ahhhh the ironic twist in the tale...

Interesting. I wonder if they were singing that when we knocked them out of the CL twice.

Benitez is staying. I'm not even reading the press because they talk balls to put it bluntly. The situation is similar to that of his last season at Valencia, with the obvious difference that he won two titles previous. He was made promises, and those failed to be given, so he split. My guess is that he's waiting to see what the board does and if it makes good on on their promises or set targets. Rafa's been dropping hints for a few weeks now on the need for players. If he doesn't get the means to bring these players in, he'll walk. He certainly won't be pushed.

Gerrard has given the ball away like that a few times, in the Euros and again to Henry a few years ago at Highbury.

It was funny to hear manc fans moaning though.

I have already said I think he will stay. He wan'ts his £16million and Liverpool don't want to give it to him. Mexican standoff ...... usually ends badly for both sides.

The bizarre thing is, I wonder if Rafa has it written into his current contract, that he is supposed to be given X amount for new players....and it turns out he isn't, he could sue them even after quitting....

Seriously doubt that's his reasons for staying. As if he needs it.
