I'm starting to find all this spin in the media simply annoying, he should let the owners run the club (even if it is badly) and just remeber he is an employee who is paid to do a job, nothing more nothing less.
It is probabily right that he has been let down in respect of promises made, but he wont be the first or last manager this has happened to, the differance is most just get on with it and make the best of the situation whilst he has just sulked and moaned which in turn has lost the support of all the media, half the fans and looking at the pitch a good chunk of the players.
He likes his facts so here we go:
1) He has had money, lots of it over 5 full seasons. All the players are now his with the exception of SG and Carra who any team in the land would want. You can argue over how much but over 5 years its in the same bracket as all the top teams and more than Spurs, Villa, City, Everton and Arsenal who are around us.
2) Out of all the wonder kids bought for 1 - 2 million a pop, how many have made it through over 5 years ? Pachecho the closest and he has only played he for 3 sub appearance is a season were we have had nothing to lose for the best part. And to achieve this we lost a legend in Steve Highway.
3) He Can't man manage, Keane, Crouch, Babel, Reira, Alonso ect ect ect.
4) He has made himself and Liverpool FC a laghing stock with a succesion of embarrising attempts at playing the media, and gifted the mancs "RAFA'S RANT"
5) He has brought a boring defensive style to the club which only looks slightly more exciting and works when we have Torres and SG on together, a whole system built around two players in a league as demanding as the Premiership, insane.
I have no doubt Rafa has some good qualities and could well win the league however only if given an unlimited budget, unlimited time and unlimited control of the club. I hear all his supporters and for a long time tried to back him myself but it is now so obvious a change is needed to freshen things up, he can say what he likes but seventh this season is an absolute disgrace with the players and funding he has had.
