worst thing about these midweek kick offs is the poor choice of links available so if any one finds a decent one please post it :nod

Seeing this line up touted as the starting 11 tonight.  Yep, it's from Twitter so probably a load of $*i*e but seen it from a few different sources now.

                  Reina

Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Downing

    Allen, Hendo, Gerrard

Enrique, Suarez, Sterling

Johnson at RB makes a lot of sense, but Downing vs. Lennon does not...mind you Downing vs. my Mum would worry me (and not in a sexual way!)  :lookaround

Considering how we have done at the Lane the last few seasons a draw would be a good result, heck showing up there for once would be a step forward.

If we play Downing at left back again we might get bummed.  Bale/Lennon will have a field day.  It's a bogey ground for us as it is never mind having obvious weak links.

On the plus side I think Rodgers is a much more tactically astute manager than AVB is... and of course we have the best striker in the league.

Heart says we can win there and we're certainly due a win there... head says a draw would be a great result for us.

Downing at full back concerns me. I'd rather stick Assaidi in instead of Enrique but he seems to have an understanding with Suarez so we'll see how we go

That's the team.

I'd rather we played a defender at right back, starting to get a bit annoyed at Rodgers over his penchant for playing Downing.

We are set up to block out first and play forward second which kind of tells you where
we are at this point.

It could be more defensive no question so Rodgers shows he does have his principles
based on attacking football but truth is we are not able to get there with a swagger
confident of dominating this game.

Im sick of draws like but tonight that would actually be a decent effort but trouble is
we dont win games when we expect too either.

I've said it all season and I'm saying it again, it's time to phase Gerrard out.
