I'm more than happy with that. It looks likes we're going to see Cole on the left and Gerrard in the hole which is what I've wanted all along. Equally happy to see only one of Poulsen/ Lucas. I can't decide which one I want to start - Lucas is high on confidence, probably more match fit and more used to playing with the other players except Raul. Poulsen though, is the season-long solution for the holding role so maybe just get on with it.

I think something that people haven't mentioned is the biggest difference between our current performances and the end of 08-09. That's the form of Gerrard and Torres. It's time for these guys to produce a few world-class performances, they are supposed to be head and shoulders above the rest of the team.

not a bad set up today,imo i would like to see agger in for skyrtel as he is less of a liablity and babel in for maxi as he would have more of an impact with his pace and strength.
overall we look like we might just upset taggart today :buttrock

Neither am i Mike concerning Agger , and i said it before id would of had Lucas in there over Poulson

In all fairness I think Agger has been off form recently. He made some big mistakes against Steaua Bucharest.

I'm not saying that Skrtel is any better (or worse for that matter) just that Agger did not do himself any favours against Steaua.

As for Lucas - One goal that was created after a god awful first touch doesn't warrant a start in the biggest fixture of the season.

yeh but u have also got Gerrard and Cole behind Torres and im pretty sure that would get the green light. Id just love 2 c Lucas get given a chance in his natural position and he will be on a high after that belter

exactly. especially against the Mancs, its no time to experiment. thankfully he isnt our manager
