LIVERPOOL vs Newcastle - Sun 11 May 2014 - KO 3pm

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Be honest...how many would bite my hands off if I say we will score over 100 goals and come in second and in contention until the final game of the season? Next season should be a season of consolidation for us...better players and a team with more experience with the title run in. We did lose our nuts when the pressure were on but the way we got ourselves to this position has been incredible. Very proud Reds today

We've done well, testament to the achievement of the group that not winning it feels such a disappointment. Am excited and nervous about the summer transfer window now

Well that's that.

One of the best seasons football I've seen in a long time.

Just a terrible shame that it couldn't be capped off with a title for Liverpool.

We just came up a bit short but it was a great season overall with some great performances.
Big thanks to Brendan and the lads, they gave it everything they had.

Fantastic season and the players have been magnificent. Bit of sadness at the way we fell at the last hurdle. I was backing us to get a draw at the very least v Chelsea and 9 times out of 10, with the way they came and setup, we would have got that and I think we would be champions today if it wern't for that game. But hey, we have achieved more than I ever expected and everyone associated with the club should be applauded for giving us a brilliant season  :bowdown

Well done LFC! and very proud. Probably only the 6th strongest squad in the beginning of the season pushed the team with the strongest squad all the way to the final day of the season.  :buttrock

Now for next season. Need to strengthen the defence. Need to find better players for Johnson, Skrtl (despite his goals), Lucas, Allen, Aspas. Send back Cissokho and Moses... and retain Suarez, that should be a good start...

Nice to win regardless but a non event really, just fell short.

Phil Dowd was an absolute joke today, worst ref in Prem.

Can't have any complaints today.  Compared to what we all thought (or most of us) at the start of the season, this season has been incredible.  The lads gave everything they had this year
and so did the manager.  Well done lads, It hurts a bit right now but the pride I feel towards the club overcomes any disappointments.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Watching the City celebrations, it really is kicking in how close we were. We should really have won it from the position we were in  :(

Last game of the season, let's face it the title was already gone but I thought we'd at least  put on a show for the fans.

Thought we were Sh*t and have serious questions about our future progress now that even ***** teams have sussed how to stifle us.
