Sterling and Coates both to start. Enrique too, baring a late fitness test.

-----------------------------------Reina

------- Johnson (kelly)             Skittle                Coates             Enrique (Johnson)

--------------Allen-------------Lucas------------Gerrard

-----------Sterling------------Borini------------Suarez

Coates in the starting lineup would be a recipe for disaster. I like Sterling but I'd rather see Borini make way than Downing. If nothing else Downing provides a bit of width and keeps opposition fullbacks pegged back a little. As for Borini, I struggle to see why we continue to play him down the flank when the only good attribute still associated with his attacking play is his movement behind centerbacks. Either play him in a central role or keep him on the bench.

Hard game and if we're still in at the hour mark then we have a decent chance of nicking a result. I hope we decide to bring Carroll on at some point to partner Suarez upfront because i struggle to see where the goals will come from as things stand.

I'm petrified of today honestly.

Sterling and Borini seem light and I have absolutely no faith in Coates.

Hope we do well.

It'll be interesting to see Coates. This'll be the biggest game he's played for us by a long way.

Based on what I've seen I'm not hopeful. He apparently isn't all that quick either. But he is rated by many, and we've got to play him if he is going to fulfill that potential. I say good on Rodgers for giving him the opportunity. Now it is up to Coates and Sterling to give Rodgers 100%.
