Bugger.

That's harsh... How is he supposed to put that away?  Nobody can score a goal with your head when the ball's behind you, Carroll actually did really well when he came on.

What can you say, very pleased with effort and point against Champions you would probably take before the game

But definately thanks to couple of ballbreakers we have dropped two points

Still many postives with Sterling full debut being on top of them.

MOM for me Allen

Well, work in progress but looked pretty good. Two daft mistakes though handed them a point when they didnt deserve one. Gutted we didnt win but pleased how good we looked at times.

Great hit by Shelvey there, not far off at all.  Inches high.

Nail on the head for me, we absolutely battered the Champions today but we gift them two goals instead of making them produce them.

Special shout out for the ref, he stank and gave nothing to the reds.

That was heart-wrenching. Skrtel seemed really down after the game ended.

Darnit :( We played really well though, and we had more attacking intent and output. Hopefully many victories are to come!

Allen was fantastic again I must say.  In all honesty, we played really well.  Unfortunately we made a couple mistakes where they could hurt us the most.

Well to be fair, we did get a free kick which got us second goal that if had been awarded against the Reds. I would have been spewing

Skrtel would have been my man of the match if it wasn't for that mistake. Now... I don't know maybe Allan.
Also, Coates deserves to be mentioned. Didn't do much better than the others but he had a good game, which I didn't expect.
Sadly, I must say our flop of the match was our captain :(

Ok, aside from that, what did he ever do for us?  :D

Gotta think if the Cb's weren't so isolated out wide that second goal would not have happened.  Enrique was 25 yards upfield from Skittles.  I'd rather see our fullbacks get forward when our midfield has the ball.  Not their defensive line mates.

Great effort though and we really looked the better side for a large part of the game.

Coates had some nervy moments, but I thought he played really well.  Sterling was great, but faded late in the game.  Can't say I'm happy with the result. But I'm not disappointed.  If we had come from 2-1 down to get the draw, I'd be happy.  But to lose the two points on a defensive error like that kinda hurts.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.
