But by then we'll be 5 points clear of them and still have them to play at Anfield

Yes but with Mourhino in charge I believe they have a better shot at Anfield than City and a better run in
than anyone.

We all know it can change in the last game, indeed the final kick.

Well if that's the case hopefully Chelsea now making the CL semis will be added distraction for them and work to our advantage

Older I get the more I believe that managers are more important than players, within reasonable boundaries of what
they have to work with of course.

We happen to have a very good one at this point with only his mentor Mourhino arguably just ahead of him overall.

Could we win this game purely by having a better manager than Man City? I would say yes, quite possibly.

This is the biggest game in both our seasons, City will be full of pressure as they are expected to win the league where as Alot of our fans were/are happy at top 4.

Looking at the two sides we both are strong in areas and weak in areas too.

Their defence is full of uncertainty, Demechelis is too slow and a liability at times and neither Kolarov or Clichy can nail down the LB spot, Although I suspect it will be Clichy on sunday as Kolarov loves too push forward too far,

Citeh has a very strong midfield something we lack although Gerrard in his new role has been outstanding and Henderson as i have said many times is fantastic at what he does.I think we will see Lucas in for Coutinho to add a bit more meat to our midfield and stop Yaya getting forward.

I think if we play the same way we did against Arsenal,Spurs and Everton at home and United away then we will get the 3 points. Confidence is high and the lads need to focus and realise this is their year

I'm so happy Hazard is injured for 2 weeks. Was hoping for it last night before I tucked into bed and I woke up with a smile even though Chelsea won the tie. I know some of you moral priests out there would slam me for feeling this way, which is unethical no doubt, but whatever. I just want Liverpool to have the best chances possible at beating our closest rivals.

Liverpool v Manchester City tickets selling for up to £5,000 a pair?
http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... cket-touts

Saw tickets going for £ 2,453

Love to see some guys convince their mrs to release a small fortune to watch a single football game..

This scene will most likely be repeated many times in Liverpudlian homes in an up hill battle to acquire matchday funds:

I would need to be put in a straight jacket with concrete shoes restrained by chains in maximum security not to watch this.

Even the neutrals will be watching with excitement, most of all Portsmouth fans & management.

I have been quietly confident all week and much against what I thought was going to happen (being a ball of stress for days on end) I have been perfectly relaxed.

This is eerily the same feeling I had throughout the last week of September 2008 when I saw my beloved Hawthorn lift the AFL premiership on my birthday, when the other team (Geelong) where heavy favourites to win that year.

For some stu.pid reason I just know we are going to win on Sunday, I don't know why..............I guess it's our year  :p

If you want any kind of example of the difference a ground can make to a football result look no further than the Vincente Calderon stadium last night.

Create that kind of atmosphere and City will be sh#tting themselves.

Would have been better if this was a night game but never the less I still expect Anfield to be bouncing come kick off time Sunday.
