Hope he gets sold. No proper warmup prior to a game usually results in an injury. Amatur stuff.

And Where is Suarez?? The Best player in the Copa America will not even get one game before season start? In this rate i doubt he would start against Sunderland.

Chill dude.  Johnson's been injured and he's still trying to get fit.  It may be he's just being cautious if he felt anything.

Suarez comes back to training on Monday.  He's not even back with the squad yet so obviously he won't be playing.  He may not start against Sunderland but he wants to play really bad so it won't surprise me either way.

Bit of a stupid tackle from Carroll there.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Are we really gonna let Aquillani go?

So comfortable on the ball, got a little bit of pace on him too. I like the creativity he brings

Valencia having plenty of possession but bar one cross haven't been a threat. We're looking defensively solid. Hope I haven't spoken too soon

Hate how the players seem to 'spread' across the pitch and stand there as soon as we have possession... I think Henderson, downing and Adam should all take a few steps back and try to get on the ball to start attacks rather than have the player on possession forced to play the long ball (through the middle or down the flank) more often than not...

Nothing pretty about the way we're playing atm..

THey're manager is a right kunt.  He throws the ball away from the Liverpool player like that.. what kinda manager lowers himself like that?

Carroll was p!ssed because when he ran past Rami, Rami stuck his foot up to take Carroll down.  Carroll got retribution, tho that wasn't smart.  Valencia player, Albeida who got the card against Carroll I think?  That was just dumb.. He hit Carroll very late and very high, and in my honest opinion I think he's lucky to stay on the pitch.

Also Valencia is getting possession, but Liverpool are keeping a strong pressure on them.  Adam is holding back a bit and attacking anytime they try to push forward, and Aqua is chasing a bit but putting that pressure.  Basically, they aren't doing anything dangerous.  THey are moving the ball but it's not exactly productive movement.

Downing's been great down the line.. Really created quite a few chances.

Team still looks a bit rusty, lots of misplaced passes.

Not that impressed first half, other than first ten minutes.

Definately a work in progress, midfield is a bit disjointed/ not controlling the game. new players may take a lot longer to bed in.

Valencia ain't treating this as a friendly. Not a chance. Well too hard in the tackles and I hope no-one gets injured. Johnson's exit was just a precaution

The amount of goals we've shipped this pre-season I think Kenny has made the defence his immediate priority and we have looked solid

I thought Henderson and Charlie Adam had poor first half today. It's Carroll's best pre-season game so far and Aquilani went quite for most of the first half but you can see some flashes of quality. Agger for me is our best player this half
