Liverpool V Reading Saturday 20/10/2012 3:00pm

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby LFC1990 » Thu Oct 18, 2012 11:00 am

A must win after picking up 6 points from a possible 21. Reading currently sit in 18th 3 points behind us. Depending on results in other games a win could put us in the top half although that looks unlikely but the 3 points would be very welcome.

With Borini out for 3 months Suarez will be the only senior striker available and with his antics in our last outing all eyes will probably be on his performance.

We have the quality to win this game with ease however smaller teams like these seem to sit back and we usually dont have the know how to break them down.

Danger man for reading Pavel Pogrebnyak. Fantastic finisher and given the oppurtunity wont think twice about hitting the back of the net.

Probable Line up for the game

                     Reina
Wisdom   Skrtel   Agger     Johnson

              Allen      Sahin

                     Gerrard
Sterling                               Suso
                    Suarez

Although id like to see Assaidi given a start.

Prediction 2-0 win to the redmen Suarez and Sahin.

despite our poor home record i expect us to win this as reading are an ideal team for us to play. they won't come here and sit back like stoke did for example. they'll try and play. rumours that reina may not start so hopefully the defence holds up and doesn't give brad jones too much to do.

2-0 to us.

I've been a fan from the glory years and games like this at home especially, a win was taken for granted. But not today's version of Liverpool. I am not confident of us winning. If this had been an away game at Reading, I will be a bit more confident because Reading won't be playing for a draw but for a win which will leave their defence a bit exposed and we stand a better chance of winning. Reason why our home performance has been dismal of late is because we don't have a clinical finisher since El-Sulko left and we are still a side to be feared esp. at Anfield and ALL teams come here to defend and hope for a draw or even to nick a win and I won't be the least surprised if Reading can do it. I'm not optimistic of our home games at all until after the Jan. window after we've signed some good strikers(hopefully).

yes i am serious.
i dont rate cole but rodgers does and the fact that he was first on against stoke leads me to believe that he will start him tomorrow.
sterling is a much better option for the team but rodgers will use the midweek game in serbia as an excuse to rest him and play cole.

Jones, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Wisdom, Sahin, Gerrard, Allen, Sterling, Suarez, Suso is the team I've heard

At home V reading today. Off to the match today to watch us from the Centenery Stand.

If we can't beat these, then we might as well pack it all in and start and ice hockey team instead.

No win today, and that will be one win in 8, which means I will have to rip Brendan Rodgers to shreds in these forums afterwards in true Hustler style.

Hopefully though, a win.

Get down and Boogie!! :)
