Maybe we dropped too deep in the second half.
It was a big call to play Kelly a RB and was the right choice the boy played really well, perhaps he can make that position his own now.

Yes, well done Roy.  I've criticized him a lot this season, but he deserves praise for the win today.

what he means is roy was lucky drogba didnt start the match. Unbelievable

You, rocky, are some unbelievable muppet.
Did I mention Roy ? Did I say he was lucky Dogbreath didn't start ?
You should get out more....in fact, I think you need help.

Wow!! Well done Reds & well done Roy giving Kelly a huge start against probably the best left sided attacking one two punch in Europe.  He got a little shaken and a lot tired in the 2nd half, but the match fitness will come.  Our lads left it on the field today and had just enough to shut out chelski!  Nice to see Shelvey getting a few minutes too :buttrock .  Lucas - Huge Torres-MOM.  Malouda was very frustrated today, he had a poor game, by design - good job tactically.

Terrific team effort and tactical victory for the manager. His plan was straight from the Benitez handbook but it worked today like it has in the past against superior opposition. Chelsea pressed second half but we soaked it very well and didnt really look over fussed and hit on the counter. Kuyt could easily have made it 3 and how Webb didnt award a pen at the death is a mystery. Pleased for the team, the fans and also Hodgson today because lets face it its been lousy for everyone but things look a whole lot brighter this evening.

mate, keep banging on about kelly cause for me he was AWSOME today! the lad showed more heart an desire than johnson has done for a long time! the lad had a fecking lot of presure on him today & showed everyone what it means to be given a chance in the first team!

alot of fringe players & ressie players need to look at his perforfance today as an example -of what it means to be given a chance, to that i say well done roy for giving him that chance-& that display payed him back for me to show confidence in the lad in the first place, so roy please give him another starting line up against wigan on wednesday, cause the lad deserves it!

wake up johnson, your place in the first team is finally & quite rightly under threat now!

as for the rest of the side - a fecking brilliant show of guts & determination -how good was that to watch-for me,when we needed to defend we stayed solid- jamie was brilliant today in leading the back four. i loved the way he said to his team mates at set pieces- 'hold the line' etc, he was so good today in being in the posistion he is best at & it proved it yet again today! so again well done roy for making that descision.

lots of great perforfances today, torres back on song with his alround play,kuyt-out for so long but yet again proved why we miss him when he's injured. (those that have always knocked him -i will never agree with) great perforfance also by Lucas- (not his biggest fan) but credit were credit is due, his attitude & desire today was spot on. it was brilliant when jammie got hold of lucas in the first half & said-get foward, let the back four worry about defending etc. he took it on board an gave a great display today.

         BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE,BRILLIANT RESULT.
LET THE ALE FLOW,& ENJOY THE OURSELVES!
