BIRMINGHAM CITY VS LIVERPOOL - 12 september 2010 : 16.00 ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Igor Zidane » Sun Sep 12, 2010 6:42 pm

Lets get one thing straight here and now . This is not about the previous manager ,this about now . This is Roy's setup and he fecked it up today . We are miles better than feckin birmingham and we should be setting up to murder the feckers not draw . Wrong midfielders , wrong central defenders  ,wrong so called wide men and changed things far to late on . Feck johnson , skrtle ,either poulson or lucas and jovanovic and maxi . Play 433 and start tw@ting teams. Shackles are off my @rse . Even andy gray said in the commentary that this was no different from last season . Feck me we were awful today .

I would love that formation...but from what i have seen from raul (from portugal national team and benfica), he ain't a defensive midfielder. And for Gerrard, his biggest weakness is his positional play. So i don't think this pair will work against the dinosaurs that fergie will put out in midfield (scholes, giggs) & fletcher. So we might need either one of lucas or poulsen in there.

We need better defensive defenders against manure. Was thinking of putting Agger for Konchesky and bringing in the big greek..... but guess thats too much.

we were rubbish today and offered nothing to win the game.
people can talk all they want about birminghams home record but any side with a bit of creativity would have taken the points there today and had it not being for pepe we would have been 3 down easy.
yet again we had lots of useless possession without ever threatening their goal, sideways and backwards as usual.
lucas was terrible again and it wont matter who he is paired with it still wont work as he isnt good enough to play at that level.rodriguez offers nothing to us and should have been replaced early by babel or pacheco.
and tbh i found it hard to distinguish the difference between us now and last season.
another dire liverpool performance :(

told u all so. How many times do i have to say it. We have no creative skillful players. Getting stuck in is not enough at this level. You need a blend of both unfortunately we have to many hoofers in our side. Bring back aquilani before its to late. Least we had a plan b when he was here. Now we have feck all.

I just wish we would be brave and try and win rather than go cautious. They talk of lack of options but we had some decent lads on the bench there today and could have done something different but theres a fear factor. I think we would collect more points in the long run by having a go and maybe losing a few more by the fact we will pick up wins rather than bore draws. As cautious as we where today only Reina saved us from defeat but surely we have enough quality to go out there and put Birmingham on the back foot for large spells. It may sound odd but I would sooner us go out and play some positive football and lose than sit through that performance to bring a point home.

How can you laff... at a timelike this Mick.. you know sarcasim has it's place.. and it ain't after such a non-committal performance by the team..

I can laugh for two reasons. Firstly, because these same clowns on here who are giving it the nonsense after four matches are the same ones who gave me sh!t for getting on the managers case after four seasons . The irony is incredible.

The second reason i can laugh is because I think it's a really good point gained. The sooner people get it into their heads that we aren't trying to win the league, the better. We are trying to get into the top four. Forget about the fact that we are 7 points behind Chelsea, infact cheer them on so they stop the Mancs from winning it. Our rivals are Spurs, man City, Villa and the like. As such, a point at Brum is a good point. I'm pretty happy with it to be honest.

Cool Hand Luke wrote:Lets hope Meireles can dominate games from midfield, dictate tempo, push us 20 yards up the field and get us passing the ball around in the opposition half. If he really is the player we all hope he is then he will make a big difference.

Trust me....he is that player. He is a midfield dictator in the mould of roy keane.

Now only if we can get similar standard of right and left wingers ...

Fecking hell Igor are you being serious mate :D Somebody else compared Lucas to Poulsen today, I don't know what to say really. If you can't see a difference between the quality of the two players I'm at something of a loss TBH.

Maxi and Jovanovic were both poor, at least the bloke on the left put a shift in. Carra was excellent I thought, Johnson pretty good considering he was playing behind Maxi, and Skrtel OK.

Chill out mate, we haven't just started playing like this you know .

Are you serious , did you watch the same game as me . What did poulson do that lucas didn't . What do jovanovic do that maxi didn't . Did notice how :censored: we wre at corners and how many times both central defenders lost the markers . Lucas has more quality than poulson will ever posses , you can see that with your own two eyes . Poulson is a plodder who got bypast by feckin birminghams midfield so many times today it was unreal . Open your eyes mick and try and be objective . and johnson ptetty good , he was the worst player on the park bar none . How many tackles missed , how many poor crosses , how many missed headers .

Bigmick i wouldn't call the point earned today a good point ,it was a poor lucky point and the players know that. The players know they were outperformed ,they were lucky (or Not saint Pepe) ,they will not be encouraged by the point earned but rather shatterd confidence at another terrible performance....

eh...mick. i actually thought poulsen was as shocking as lucas. At least lucas reads the game pretty well and he is always on the back of opposition players who have the ball. Poulsen positional sense was pretty bad today ... he was all over the place(but i admit we have to give him time to gel with the team).

And Johnson was shocking to say the least.....
