same as usual for me, which is about the same as most of u guys. Except must start with Kewell and Yossi on the wings, and babel up front with Torres. The rest I dont rly mind TOO much, but would like Lucas to start.

On I Know The Score I tipped us 4-1 because I felt like it at the time. I may as well stick with that and say Torres with 2, Gerrard 1 and super sub Kuyt with the finishing touches.

time for the 2 most inconsistant teams in the league to go at it then, almost impossible to pick this 1, il go 2-1 reds, and a Kuyt winner, possibly followed by a second half appearance by Lord Lucan :p

Perfectly understandable considering the ridiculous circumstances engulfing our club but I'm tired of the rubbish that's been served up of late.

Im not going to predict the result because im bloody useless ! I think we'll win, and I think it will be a comfortable win. So far we havent shown much that Inter will be afraid off so a couple of solid performances, get the confidence back up then we'll be rolling.

Very quiet in here today, think it shows with everything that has gone on with the yanks and DIC and the state our club is in at the moment, the football is being forgotten!
Hope we get back on track tonight with a decent display, and a win! We really cant afford to draw any more!!

2-1

Benitez on tonights game

Rafael Benitez takes time out from his pre-match preparations to talk about the test facing his side at West Ham United tonight.
Liverpoolfc.tv: There has been a certain amount of criticism for the first half performance against Havant. Will your players have something to prove against West Ham?

Rafa Benitez: I think that we forget that every game is 90 minutes so when you score five goals and you progress in the competition you cannot be really, really disappointed. You must be upset or disappointed if you want after part of the first half. I remember the first chance was Yossi. He had a clear chance and after we had the counter attack with Babel. Everything could be different if we scored first but anyway we know that our performance must be better in the first half. And it was normal in the second half. You must be pleased we progressed, we scored 5 goals and hopefully we can do a good game against West Ham. And people will say fantastic week.

You're still in the FA Cup obviously, still in the Champions League. In terms of the Premier League you've got to start picking up maximum points, because you've drawn too many games recently...

Yes it's true; you must be realistic, when you talk about the position in the Premier League, we must win these games that we are drawing now. We are very close, we are creating chances, we are attacking but we are conceding silly goals. If you see a ball bouncing in our box it normally finishes up in the back of our net.
I think sometimes this is bad luck but how can you change this, be stronger in defence and continue creating chances, scoring goals and taking the chances that we have”

The players have said that they have been affected by all the off field activities, now that all seems to be sorted out, this is a real opportunity to get your season back on track isn't it?

Yes I think so, I think if the players show the quality they have and the character they have, we will start winning the games that we are drawing in the Premier League. And if we can continue progressing in the FA Cup and the Champions league, it could be a good season”

And you have also talked about how important confidence is, three points against West Ham would be a great boost, wouldn't it?

Every game that we can win is important for the players and now this week especially because we have two games, it will be really important because we can approach the game against Chelsea with a lot of confidence.

Your teams have always been built on a certain amount of passion. Whether it is the Champions League final or the FA cup final, are they showing enough passion for you at the moment?

Yes, I think that some games we can see that we are really good, some games we need to show more, but it is always its difficult to analyse and explain why in these games we are playing well, we are creating a lot of chances and why in these ones we are not doing the same. Against Luton we played the first game without playing really well but the second one was really good so I think that we need to be more consistent showing this passion, this character and quality.

Is it down to some of the characters in the team to start showing some of that passion or is it a case of you look to leaders when youre struggling?

I think all of that. We need to show more. It's not just about the leaders it's about all of the players. We have a lot of good players, good professionals and so we must show the quality and character we have.

What have you made of West Ham so far this season?

I think they are improving now so it will be a tough game; also they have done well in the games against Arsenal, United and Chelsea. It will be difficult for us but we know that we need to go there thinking about winning against a team that will be difficult.

Do you find it incredible that you haven't won a Premier League game since Christmas?

If you watch the videos, yes. I think it was incredible, some of them I thought we had enough chances to win and also had really bad luck. The goal we conceded with Fabio Aurelio with the hand, it's not easy to see and maybe you won’t see again. But the games you want to win you must take you chances and be strong in defence.

Momo has now gone to Juventus, are you confident a deal to keep Javier Mascherano can be sorted quickly?

I think Momo made a good move for him and also for us. Because he's a very good professional, a nice boy, he wanted to play and here it was difficult with Mascherano, Lucas playing well now, Xabi Alonso and Gerrard.
In terms of Mascherano we are closer, we are working really hard. I think that maybe we can say something positive in a few days.

In the next 48 hours?

Really we don't need to do anything because the player is with us. It's not the transfer window so it's another kind of business but I think we will have good news.

But you would like it done before the deadline.

It's not necessary. If we don't do anything the player can play with us.

Have you had any reassurances from Javier that he sees his future is at Liverpool?

Yes, he wants to stay.

In terms of Momo, its not often that you get a deal that seems to be good for the player and the club in terms of the fee received..

I think that everything is positive. Momo needed to play, he wanted to play and for us we have four players in this position now. I think it was good for him and also for us.

You've been dominating games recently but you haven't been putting the ball in the net, is that a mental thing or have you been working on the training ground to try and alleviate this?

Sometimes when you are not scoring and you are creating a lot of chances, you need more confidence, so it is more mental than technical. Anyway, you must try to improve technically and maybe you have more confidence and if you score the first goal like Yossi the other day, he scored one and he could have scored four because he had a lot of chances. So sometimes it's just mental
