I'll go for 3-1 Reds. We have a decent record down there recently, and now the lads will want to prove themselves after Saturdays shambles and fire us above Everton again.

Finnan          Hyypia        Carragher       Riise

Benayoun     Gerrard       Alonso       Kewell

                 Torres         Crouch

Torres, Crouch and Gerrard

No p!ssing about, strong team and crush them. I can see this game being the start of our recovery 3-1 or possibly 4-1

saint i hate to burst ur bubble , but mascherano is suspended , picked up 5 yellow cards, miss 1 game

No problem mate, I will just slide Alonso in there and adjust my predictions to 3-2 or 4-2

Then keep my head down when Lando comes back on. :D

I feel the same Ciggy. The team has been very poor and I dont see them regaining confidence as yet.Things have been really bad all over. The manager appears lost despite the backing of brigade supporters, the players heads are down. Its sad days at the club really. :no

Love to see a win but also an impressive performance.  The performances of late have been dire.  For me while there has been some v good performances this year more times than not its been average to poor.  Some good football would be nice where we actually cut open sides and not just rely on errors from the other side.

I don't think that the performances in the league matter too much right now to be perfectly honest. I think it was legitimate to look for a performance against Luton at Home, and Waterlooville at Home, but in the league we're into the results business now. A scrappy 1-0 win would do nicely, feck the performance. We've also got a couple of crucial cup games coming up (against Inter Milan I mean, I'm assuming we can beat Barnsley at Home) so we really do need some momentum. Given our League form and that of our rivals (Everton in particular but also Aston Villa and Man City) it's looking like we may possibly need a Champions League win to ensure qualification next season, so it's vital we get something going soon.

No surprises from me. Pick a sensible team, no silly formations, no Kuyt instead of Crouch and whatever the result pick the same team for the next six games. OK I'm being a bit optimistic with the last one  :D but the other three would be a start. I think it'll be a 1-1 draw.

Feels like a defeat unless a couple of moments of brilliance by Gezza and Tozza! Although with our Souness-era-like-defence we might need 3 or 4 goals. Worth a punt on us conceding another own goal!

Team i think could win:

                       Reina

Arbeloa       Carra      Hyypia          Riise

Penant        Gerrard       Alonso       Kewell

                 Benayoun     Torres

I think at the mo Benayoun is the ideal foil for Torres. Beny is really underrated - has great skill and this would work best up front. In the same way that people are touting for Babel to be up front i think Beny is already the finished product to play there. Bring on Crouch and Babel as game progresses for Kewell and Beny. :)

Considering our current form, I wouldn't care too much about our performance at this moment as long as we can get three points, even a 1-0 from their own goal would be sweet to me :D

I wouldn't mind the 1st half H&W performance if we win...

We need to win....get back to basic. We need to go on a winning run..so f**k the performance.
