Torres.

In terms of football, both would be massive losses.

But for me identity is important. Gerrard sends the local lads at Liverpool the message that you can reach, play and be captain of Liverpool football club. And for me that identity point is important for the "soul" of the club.

That is, I base my opinion in emotional impact rather than football.

Yeah defaintley agree with Sabre. Gerrard is part of the club as he is a local lad. With Torres as big a part of LFC as he is becoming as he is not English there is always a chance he could want to go back home if he gets bored of playing in England.

I agree with you Sabre.

That Torres will never make it in England. He's overrated. :D

Well he never showed the level he has shown this season in his country -- fact.

As for my wrongness in prediction, I admit it for 879th time, and I hope to be wrong that way with every player I'm sceptikal on!  :D

Torres is replaceable by spending the required fee: Villa, Drogba etc..... but Stevie is more than a pair of boots.

We complain when the media start rumours and speculation about our star players leaving.  Drop this ridiculousd thread.  We want our future built around Gerrard and Torres not encourage speculation about which one should go.

Good post makes you think on a rainy wednesday afternoon and the eye candy in the office is having a bad day.

Would have to be Torres as much as I love the guy and agree that he could be the future for us if the red leccy bill came and we needed a few bob it would have to be him and not Stevie to pack there bag.

Take Gerrard away and we loose the soul of the club.

Gerrard.

Carragher is the one who represents the Liverpool way and should be Captain. Gerrard is brilliant, but he's also a mardy sod at times.
