I agree to a point but when you consider at Real there would potentially be an ex teammate in Xabi and a manager in Mourinho he has spoken with to some extent before I think he would.

Plus plenty of other english players have on there. Macca, Owen, Beckham ect...

He's just been asked about the management situation at his England press conference. Refused to speak about it until after the World Cup is over.

just seen that on ssn,he was kinda quick to shoot that question down.
he is probably right to do so as im sure he's putting all his focus on the world cup and does'nt want to be in the headlines for the wrong reasons.
when englands tournament ends i hope he's quick to come out and declare his intentions rather than heading off for a couple of weeks holidays and leaving the fans in limbo!!!

F'uckin right too. 2 days before he captains his country at the WC?

Give him a chance. He should be thinking about nothing but England now, the rest can wait.

British media are crazy f'uckers.

Give it a rest.. he spends his entire life concentrating on Liverpool and being our captain. He has just been made captain of England for a world cup, its a pretty big occasion for him. He is damn right not to comment about Liverpool at the moment. Imagine the amount of stick he would get if he did.

He's had ample time before today to make a comment - he does not stop being LFC captain .. and I won't 'give it a rest' , these are paid enuff to show some semblence of 'leadership' and multi-think without it being a distraction !

If he's allegedly thinking about where he wants to play his footie.. he can damn right have said something about the manager-less situation.

get to fck you ye t1t.

He shouldnt be just coming out making statements regardless of whether he is captain of england or LFC.
Only official statements from the club should be made about the manager position.
He cant just go blurting out confidential things.

Zara behave yourself as well.
So quick to back our failed manager, so quick to slag off our best player  :no

:glare:

So up until now you are happy that our captain has said nothing?

I'm disappointed in Gerrard - as our captain I would expect a captain like response - but no sireee!

and I'm not 'slagging him off' just observing how much he has let us down - more than those bad performances, for which I believe, he is entitled to be carried himself, having carried LFC for so long!

.. when as fans we look for some reaction - the capatin ain't no-where to be seen - AWOL !

If Gerrard had commented on things about Liverpool to the media, I bet you any money that the papers the next day would slaughter him.
