I'll be ***** off if he doesn't collect one today and then picks up one against Spurs or West Ham and misses the City game.

Now what to do we do? Gerrard is bound to pick up a yellow in either the West Ham or Spurs game and miss the City clash

I don't think we can afford to worry about things like this, Say gerrard would have got himself booked on purpose and 0'Shea would have scored? where would we be then? We'd be out of the title race and without our captain for 2 vital 'CL qualifiers'.
I don't think we should be taking our eye off the ball by trying to engineer situations within games like that, whenever you try to be too clever situations invariably come back to bite you on the @rse, we should just play each game on its own merit and see what happens at the end of the season.

I quite like Poyet.

He's always been favourable towards us and was one of the only non-LFC figures who supported Suarez through the whole racism saga.

As an ex Chelsea player I'm not sure he holds much of a candle for us, As he's Uruguayan I think he's more pro-Suarez than pro-Liverpool.

I never get any indication of animosity from him, I have never got the "anti-Liverpool because I'm Chelsea" feeling from his words or behaviour. Always polite about us in interviews (Brighton and Sunderland).

Well he said we'd be a mid table outfit without Suarez the other day, hardly a glowing reference .....

True although I suspect that comment was more to highlight Suarez than to put us down.

Agreed ,I like Poyet, so I'm going to assume his sound bite was embellished by the media.

"It's not about how they play, it's about having a player who is going to be voted the best player of the year by everybody.

"Without Suarez, they would probably be in mid-table."

Oh yeah, well without Gus Poyet, Sunderland wouldn't be fighting for relegation!

As much as it may sting.  I don't think he's that far off is he?  We probably would be near mid table without Suarez.  Hell we might even be worse than Man U.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Off thread but in defence of Gus Poyet he stuck up for Suarez publicly over the Evra incident and the fact he's a fellow
Uruguayan doesn't mean he had to do it.

Gerrard is just flying in this team with other boys doing the graft and him providing the craft, all down to good management
of individuals needs and the team unit by Rodgers.

If Gerrard lifts the Premiership trophy for us it will be the greatest moment I have witnessed supporting Liverpool.
