Guess it makes the experience more legally enjoyable.

Just a quick question I wanna ask:

Who in here thinks we will fall apart if Rafa leaves and if so why?

Thats a good question and one that deserves an answer.

Unfortunately I am unable to answer it as I believe we wouldn't fall apart if Rafa left.

It is a good question, but in order to answer it i suppose you have to ask yourself exactly what "falling apart" entails. If being eighth in the league with this squad of players and being out of Europe isn't falling apart, I'm not sure I know what is. If the question is whether or not things would get even worse, I think the answer is no with this bunch of players anyway. We are chronically underachieving right now.

Why would we "fall apart" ? We didn't despite Souness' demolition job, every time a manager has left we've survived. This currently is as close to "fall apart" as we've been in a long time and it's not even a transition period between managers. I guess Rafa realised he couldn't call it a period of transition having finished 2nd last season.

If Rafa left we would have plenty of assets to sell or use, the new manager would do what Rafa did and sell off what he didn't want - in Rafa's case only Carra and Gerrard remain.

I think some need to get out of their little 'comfort zones', the club will not "fall apart" if Torres, Gerrard, Reina etc leave, it might not be easy, but at times you have to take a backward step and sometimes you have to take a backward step to move forwards. Did the club "fall apart" when Rush left? Did the club "fall apart" when King Kenny quit? Did the club "fall apart" when McManaman, Fowler, Owen and Alonso left? Well it may feel like it without Alonso, but still no.

It's a bad patch, the main question is whether sacking Rafa is best for LIVERPOOL FC, not whether fans will like it or whether it will cost us money. I think Rafa wasting £40m a summer is more likely to damage the club than paying him £20m to feck off. Although I did read the owners have sold their respective sporting assets in US so that suggests financially they will be as secure as possible and that passes down to the club.

Of course if we did sack Rafa, would we want a manager with shrewd transfer acumen like Wenger, or a spendalot like Mourinho? Mourinho didn't turn Chelsea from a top four side to Champions, they were only denied a title under Ranieri by a superb Arsenal unbeaten season. Would Mourinho turn us into Champions or just end up going backwards like he did at Chelsea? Some seem to think he, and others, pull a bunch of flowers out of the Rs and turn matches on their heads. What he does is throw on many millions of pounds worth of subs and sometimes it pays dividends - just like fergie does and has done in the past.

What rain?
What are you on about?
He's inside in the plush warmth rubbing his hands deciding who to play out of position next.

Ciggy - I am struggling! You are one of the most vociferous when it comes to our owners and yet you will support Benitez through thick and thin. Currently Benitez is doing a lot more to fk up Liverpool FC than our extremely annoying American owners so why the misplaced loyalty. Don't give me the I'll support the team whatever sh.ite because I have been around too long. Benitez is resposible for a lot of the cr.ap that is happening. Just look at what he has bought and continued misguided faith that he has in several players that appear on the team sheet week in week out and why - BECAUSE HE HAS A SQUAD WITH NO STRENGTH IN DEPTH THAT HE CREATED! It is not all about money. Just take a look elsewhere at other teams. I hate to use this example but Jagielka,Cahill and Arteta for less than £11m for the three of them!

If Benitez fails to get fourth place at the end of the season will you then regard him as a useless lying waste of space? Time to wake up Ciggy, Benitez does not deserve your admirable loyalty. Just wish I had your faith. Happy Christmas mate.

In all honesty its down to the players now.
They can listen to him or ignore him and play winning football
They will either pull us out the shi't or they wont
Rafa is a spectator

He may be a spectator when the game is under way but forms the squad, picks the team and decides the tactics, the team selection against Portsmouth was woeful and when it all went wrong he had no idea how to put things right. Everyone knows when its time for a Rafa substitution and 9 times out of 10 its to replace the LM.

What we seem to get now is that is either the owners for not giving him enough cash or its the players for not performing and poor Rafa is caught between the two a spectator being let down on both sides.

Oh please give us a break.
