Sounds like you like our owners, either that or you haven't got a clue about whats going on at our club

Who's to say he doesn't or won't re-invent himself Kuyt style into an attacking wing back or something, you never really know. What you can make a call on though is his game so far, and how likely it is that he'll be able to be a success playing like that. Fairly obviously from where I'm sitting, he won't.
I've given the reasoning behind that thought process a few times now, and the ball is basically well and truly in Alberto's court to see if he can change the way he plays.

Totally disagree mick , the only thing Aquilani has to change imo is his tempo .Once he's fully up to speed with the prem he'll be fine. He's looked abit lost in the games he's played so far , but the intent and the football intelligence is there for all to see .Just not up to the pace of English football yet.

So the lads been injured, yeah OK its dragged on a bit longer than expected which we are all fuc'ked off about! He has had a few appearances as a late sub and started a couple of games, that is all we have seen of him!
I think the term squandered and nail in coffin are just a little too harsh though.....just a tad!
Football pundits who have played the game as a career are saying its too early to judge the lad, given the fact he is not match fit, getting to know the team and coming from a different type of football.........................but people on here have their minds made up already
Squandered!

Squandered!
Roberto, Igor, Barry and "others"...
I'm not saying that Aqualini is a "bad" player. Read the post properly.
i said that Benitez "squandered" the money and he did. He bought an injured player to replace a significant loss in a season that was supposed to be "ours" (yet again).
That the lad hasn't performed is obvious, due to a combination of Benitez refusing to give him match time and the aformentioned injury.
I don't know if he's a good or bad player to be blunt and I didn't make that call.
But, Benitez still SQUANDERED the money however and Aqualini certianly wasn't the answer to the Alonso problem (also created by Benitez's appaling player management).
