We need teams scared of us but I am afraid to say no one is scared of us, and no teams show us respect like they do Chelsea.

don't forget ciggy that Betis aren't in the CL by accident, they're a very good side and at home were always going to have their moments

It is Betis's first time in the CL against the Champions of Europe whos the boss? Liverpool are the boss , well show em, bring it on f@ckin give it to em.
We are f@cked if Carra gets injured Im tellin yer, the rest of the team need to be our Carra, thats why we sing, WE ALL DREAM OF A TEAM OF CARRAGHERS, A TEAM OF CARRAGHERS :D Maybe they dont understand but I know if it was my job I would want to prove I was as good as him and had the same passion

spot on all round - key players rested for the massive game on Sunday, and 3 CL points. The tactics did them at the beginning - the 3 little guys moving around behid Crouch worked perfectly - until Betis changed their tactics. It was their 2 Wingers and 2 strikers on and a defender sacrificed that pushed us back, not our failures. But we defended just as we did in the CL last year, and its looking good. Hopefully we won't have the euro hangover we had last season, with the stronger squad, and players rested tonight -  we've GOT to do the business against manure..........

we have to be happy with our win  garcia just kills me he can do things other players can only dream of doing   other times he is awful  the way he got his foot round the ball from being behind the defender was magestic   sissoko as young as he is its frightning what kind of a player he might become   lets not forget reina who made some great saves in big moments of the game   crouchie did well in the first half   but i think somethink has to happen quick for cisse as he struggles as a lone striker  he has to learn rafas system of play   this is a massive season for cisse he has to start crashing the goals in for us  ???

Tactics spot on ...well not sure about that one, i would never pick Zenden, but thats just me. but it was nice to see us playing so well in the first half, i think the blue rissians will find it hard to beat them away.

Best habit in the game - WINNING.
The stupid result against Sofia ruined a good habit for us. We must get back to it with belief.

Fantastic result tonight guys, that's our hardest fixture apart from the chelsea games and 3 points in the bag, loving it :buttrock

Rafa's team selection was a shock to say the least (although his idea to play all the spanish players who could cope with the heat and to play the fresher squad players proved masterful).  Betis were taken off guard with our line-up and with the early goal and the interchanging of Pongolle, Garcia and Zenden around crouch they were having real trouble handling us in the 1st half.

They came at us 2nd half but at champions league level away fom home you have to expect that and we soaked up the pressure quite well.  Hyypia got caught badly out of position for the goal which is quite unlike him, but we generally defended well.

The ref didn't help us and there were a lot of home-town decisions going down, but again that's part and parcel of playing away in europe.

Reina was very impressive as was sissoko again (legend in the making).  Crouch acquitted himself well as did Pongolle before his lack of fitness caught up with him.

Quality result, now bring on the scum at the weekend :buttrock

What?! i was impressed by him tonight. Personally I havent been convinced by riise, zenden or warnock for LB, Traore is perfect for me. Just my opinion though, hes certainly not the perfect LB but hes got a great tackle on him and hes still gonna improve loads under Rafa
