Players we should sign this summer

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I'm gutted we've let Rommedahl go to Charlton for something like £2m.  He's a quality right winger and really pacy.  We definitely need a player for that position.  Maybe we can get Duff and switch Kewell to the right? Duff won't be happy on the bench at Chelski.  Or Sneijder of Ajax looked good before Euro 2004.

As for central midfield, we need a leader in there with a bit of passing ability.  Hamann is good at what he does, but I'd like to see someone like Gattuso in there, he plays a British style and he's a quality player, and the type of character we need - Gerrard can't be expected to carry the team again like last season. Or failing that, bring in a British player like Hargreaves.  We need a strong base of British players.

We could've got Laursen on the cheap from Milan but Villa nipped in before us.  I'd like to see us get a quality young player like Lahm or Chivu, or Carvalho but it looks like Real are gonna get him.

Rosicky, Malbranque and Woodgate.

Probably cost in the region of 30 million... but would certainly be worth it.

             Owen      Cisse
Kewell                              Malbranque
            Gerrard    Rosicky

Riise      Hyypia   Woodgate   Carragher/Finnan

                  Kirkland

Stu I agree with Malbranque and Woodgate, Would,nt be like me but I disagree about Rosicky.  Need another superstar.  Rosicky has been amazing but if Benetiz signs Angel from malaga then I take back some of the doubts about his managerial ability.  I have personally watched Angel play and he is a brilliant talent who unlike Hamman would not only release Gerrard but could cover for him.  Angel would be a perfect partner as he has an exceptional brain and is very calculating.  I would be very impressed because he's an unsong hero a bit like Gary McAlister.

Rosicky and Woodgate. Let's not sign Rommedahl, he's danish like me and i know that the only thing he can do is to run fast, but he's really good at it (100 m on 10,2 seconds  :O )

Al av never seen this Angel fella so i can't and won't comment on his ability, but i do think if he was that good i would have heard of him... Then again he could be another Hyypia... I reserve judgement.

If he's better than Rosicky then he's the exact quality we need. If we signed Rosicky i'd be amazingly happy as he has a great alround game and could provide that spark and creativety we need.

I still think the team i've put down there is capable of winniing the Champions League with the correct tactics.

Go on then smart ******... whats up with Woodgate and Malbranque?

Are you better than these two aswell? ???

Woodgates one of the best centre halfs in the country and i challenge you to name a better midfielder who isn't playing for one of the best 5 clubs in the country at the moment than Malbranque. (Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle).

What is it with players who can score goals from midfield? ???

Nolan off bolton scored 9 goals in the prem lge last season and has alot of potential.

As for Woodgate no doubt he is a class defender but he looks a bit lightweight to me and not worth 10m+ ???

Ujfalushi is a class act and alot more realistic.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

I have no argument on Malbranque and if he is available, get him. Woodgate is good but I think Ujfalushi is better. Ujfalushi seems to have more pace and power. As for starting Kirkland, he is young and has the potential but I think Dudek is still better than Kirk at this moment. Of course, everything can change if Benitez elected to purchase a GK this summer. But I'm sure Kirk is better than David James for sure.:p

Stu Miguel Angel is well known in Spain and I have to admit that Benetiz is being very shrewd at the present time.

Woodgate isn't in the Champions league for the second year running. Class act imo.

Strong, quick, good on the ball, superb reader of the game, great in the tackle, good in the air and commands his backline aswell as Hyypia.

ujfalusi is the fastest centre back around. he would be a great addition to our team.

as for right wing, i'd like to see sean wright phillips there. his pace and skill are class. i think hargreaves is exactly the partner for gerrard in centre mid. he impressed me with his skill and attacking play in euro 04.
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

whats wrong with Woodgate and Malbranque? the 2 will  improve the squad tremendously!!! But will be quite costly i think. Malbranque is very very smart player with great technique. And he can take penalty well  :;):

To stu, the team u put would definitely do well in Europe and PL
