Players we should sign this summer

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

longball, while stu's team is undoubtedly class, it's quality squads that win leagues, not 11 men. 11 men isn't good enough to win a league, we need at least 20 premiership class players. you have to have decent players on the bench at your disposal to fill in for injuries etc.
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

Baros,Smicer, Murphy, Hamann, Carrager, Kirkland are PL quality.
Having good players is not enough. Right tactic is essential.

Yeah,

second string...
Code: Select all
             Pongolle    Baros
Smicer    Hamann   Le Tallec  Murphy
Vignal      Traore    Henchoz   Finnan/ Carrahger
                    Dudek

Mellor, Welsh, Otsemobor...

Then hopefully Diao, Biscan and Diouf moved on theres a squad capable of doing the business. With Carragher and Henchoz bei first choice cover all across the back 4, in the middle theres Murphy and Hamann with Smicer for the wide Areas (IF needed) and theres more than enough back up for the strike force.

Yes Woodgate would cost alot of money but he'd deinately be worth it. In my opinion Cisse had to be the first signing as we desperately need a superb striker. Now we need a defender. Woodgate is the man imo, then for midfield Rosicky is the better of the two so he would be the priority.

The second string in my eyes looks strong enough to be at least a top 10 prem side.

I agree that woodgate is a class player but i cant see newcastle selling him, look what happened last year when he was injured they fell apart,i believe that was the reason we pipped them to CL last season

Probably cost in the region of 30 million... but would certainly be worth it.

             Owen      Cisse
Kewell                              Malbranque
            Gerrard    Rosicky

Riise      Hyypia   Woodgate   Carragher/Finnan

                  Kirkland

Woodgate, Malbranque?

You are havin a larf

Who the F*ck is this guy ?
Judging from the " larf " he's no scouser, and judging from his observations on footy I think he should stick to netball '

Are you better than these two aswell? ???

Woodgates one of the best centre halfs in the country and i challenge you to name a better midfielder who isn't playing for one of the best 5 clubs in the country at the moment than Malbranque. (Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle).

What is it with players who can score goals from midfield? ???

You know Im better than those two!

How about....Ledley King, Or Dominic Matteo back from leeds? I still rate Matteo better than Henchoz and Hypia. We should never have sold.

Malbranque is about 4ft tall! He's quick but aint LFC material.

Id give Rivaldo 2/3 years. as he's only 31! on the left wing or a free role, and Davids too.
Also Patrick Berger back from Pompey! Why we ever sold him, and Houllier kept him on the bench is one of the wonders of the world.

This is my LFC team no messin:

                                Dudek

      Finnan      Henchoz/Hypia     Matteo      Risse/Carra

      Berger        Stevie G        Davids          Rivaldo

                      Cisse/Baros    Owen

Come on! Youve got to dsay that is a good team!

Kirkland

                           Hyypia                     Ayala
Finnan                                                                   Carragher

                                          Angel

Reid                                                                          Kewell
                                          Gerrard

                  Baros                                    Cisse

No Owen? Why? I doubt his ability sadly i think he'll turn out like Fowler.
