Its plain stupid to let them sit it out or walk for free next year. We aren't giving them close to what they want so move them on and get something towards new recruits. They are worth money and it would be a shame to get nothing for either.

I think both are as good as gone to be honest. Only question is if they'll move this season and we get money for them or they'll go next season for free. IMO the latter is more likely unfortunately, especially for Mo.

Read somewhere that he is saying he doesn’t mind a shorter contract (like 2 years) but he wants to get paid like one of the top players in that time. If he can stall until the window closes then he will go for nothing and probably not be the player we know from Jan onwards.

Wow, did not see that coming

If you are going to sign a 30 year old then Salah fits the bill in terms of his injury record and how he keeps himself fit. Happy Dayz I guess. Hopefully we get a fresh Salah with a point to prove.

Glad we kept him, but was it worth ruining our wage structure? He'll probably be close to half a million if we include the incentives and bonuses.

My understanding is that he can potentially earn £350,000 per week with a big chunk of it being performance related. The deal has been structured in such a way that it doesn’t ruin FSG’s wage structure. I read not long ago and I’m not sure as to the accuracy of the statement but the suggestion was that Salah has been earning close to £300,000 per week over the last two years due to meaningful bonuses based on his personal achievements.

Delighted you’re staying Mo. You’re a true legend and your contribution towards the clubs success over the last few years will never be forgotten.

If you think we will pay maybe an extra 500k per month yet we have tied him to a longer contract, we can give our new forwards time to bed in and still sell Salah next summer for more than the extra 6million we will pay per year. We could still sell him next year and extending his contract will be a good idea, if not and he is playing well then happy dayz. The length of his contract must have raised his value by at least 20 million.

At least this will keep him focused on us now rather than all the contract malarkey.  Diaz, Nunez, Salah ----- Breathtaking.

Great news after losing Mane.

Now lets go win the quadruple and rub it up the noses of those filthy sports-washing cheats........  :buttrock

Great news. How much can we sell him for?  :D
